The problem with AEW right now is that TK still thinks it is 2019-2021 where the market value for indie workrate was very high. The business has now evolved. People no longer want to sit through these workrate matches for no reason. People want very well structured stories that makes sense and characters that gets the people invested. I just want "WWE" type story telling/build up with AEW inring quality matches, is that too much to ask Tony Khan
@Linklex74 ай бұрын
Which is more or less what they were doing during the first two years. Once Cody left, Tony just gave up on storytelling

AEW NEEDS STORY TELLING!!! MJF's return was botched which didn't help... can we get some DAM CREATIVE!!!

If TK wants AEW to be relevant, he can keep the workrate-good matches... Just add storyline/long-term booking. THAT would make it an alternative that enough people can get behind... so that it survives.

Much agreed with all your points buddy usually get bored with the ones they show and turn it off. I did watch all of last Wednesday edition did get bored after MJF. Didn’t cut a promo after kicking the whitebulls ass😢😢😢

This is therapy for JD. Man I remember when being a wrestling fan was simple.

Everybody went to NXT. If one shows numbers are going up, and the other is going down, doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that math.

Some of these people on the internet are ACTUALLY blaming good weather as to why the ratings were low. 😂... I wish I was making that up How are you gonna blame GOOD weather, and attached THAT excuse, to a BAD situation? 🤣

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 JD you've given AEW the benefit of the doubt for a looooooong time in the past. Now it's time to keep it real. TK needs the feedback until he finally decides to listen.

WBD will obviously make excuses because it's (atm) their show and even if they want to low-ball negotiations, there's no benefit to them making it look bad.

Ever since I've been attending AEW shows in 2019, I saw more than a few people in the audience wearing WWE merch (shirts, replica titles, etc.). I always wondered how long it would take for them to forget about AEW, once WWE became (even) marginally better. I'm one of the fans TK would call a "sicko", and would probably never watch WWE again (too much scandal, too much cheese, wrestlers who have to "nerf" their movesets/how they work, etc.)...but I get I'm not the audience WWE is trying to attract anymore. I just hope TK can adjust his business model to continue to provide a solid #2 promotion in North America for the years to come.

WWE was giving us bad storylines and terrible wrestling when AEW was popping off and that’s why we were eating up the fantastic wrestling. Now WWE is giving us good wrestling and good storylines and AEW can’t keep up.

Sorry guys I get it…wrestling is better with 2 companies goin strong but nothing about AEW is good. Just got introduced to Joe Hendry who id rather see then MJF.

Dynamite ratings have set a new record low of 400,000 views Online shills: well that week, Venus was orbiting Mars and Illinois was experiencing an Indian summer. Not to mention Home Depot ran out of fertilizer…. I predict there will be more wild excuses

AEW use to try to go for the causal audience with storytelling. Then they just gave up on it and that was when I realized something. It was Cody who always made the public appearances to get AEW into the mainstream. TK only ever cared about the IWC sickos
