Glad that adjustment worked out for you! Ride height looks perfect 👌

I wish I had commented when I watched your last video because I had a hunch your suspension was excessively lowered. Of course I didn’t know the details of your suspension components so I stayed quiet. I also didn’t known your finished goals. Ultimately this should stand as an excellent example to follow to understand the relationship between ride height and suspension angles. It has limitations man! lol glad you figured it out

@@bmwbillr Thanks for the support (pun intended) I’m surprised the alignment shop dude didn’t say anything about the height when he told me he couldn’t find enough positive camber to bring the front into spec. At least now I can go with the less expensive fix and have a nice setup in the front.

@ indeed, I was going to use the “rice burner” example since lots of those cars are “slammed” and they have the same camber issue.
@thedrivewayC3Ай бұрын
@ Yes, although with many of those cars, I feel like the ridiculous camber is part of the style, but I know what you mean. I’m certainly not looking to buy new tires every 5000 miles!

Raising the frame (ride height) raises the control arm pick up point which gets the control arm closer to parallel with the ground pushing the ball joint outwards. Makes sense. Good job!

Great job! I do have a question though how do you keep your car so clean in the driveway?? Mine gets dirty whenever I walk away from it 🤣🤣. I did post a couple of videos on my Vette take a look if you get a chance.
@thedrivewayC3Ай бұрын
@@NB-mn4tv It’s not that clean! 😅 I keep it covered.

So, the ride is much better with the coil overs compared to the stock springs?
@thedrivewayC3Ай бұрын
@@gtuttle4 I don’t know because I didn’t drive it much with the stock springs. It’s better with less neg camber and raised closer to stock height. Coilovers are generally smoother and quieter, plus you can adjust the stiffness.
@gtuttle4Ай бұрын
@@thedrivewayC3 What was the cost for the coil overs?
@thedrivewayC3Ай бұрын
@ I bought a pair off eBay for around $550. They turned out to be the wrong type (advertised as for C3 but were not). QA1 swapped them for the correct ones! I think you’ll find these sets range from 600-800. The A-Arms are all from Global West. Uppers were 550 (used off eBay) and the lowers were around 650 (new). I also have a GW sway bar, which I think was a couple hundred. It’s a lot to invest, but I like driving and want it to perform well.
