These changes are definitely for the better. The +12 keystone scenario is just an arbitrary means to limit players from going to absurd key lelves. And as these changes come into play they make every jump on a key level quite significant with how it is setup up. One shotty stuff is always going to be the case when we push to the extreme ends of the spectrum. It always comes down to can we survive and do enough dmg simultaneously to deal with a pull before our defensive options runs out? If we cant, we can't make timer.

Changes are huge, the nitty gritty of the numbers can change I'm not so worried about that part just yet but it def does more good than anything else m+ has received recently (not counting the key level squish ofc)

I think this will make keys boring quicker since there will be almost no change each run, especially if you run with a guild group, so its not like your comp changes. But i think this probably will bring more people to get into m+ who may have thought it was to much. So idk maybe its a good play to bring more interest from more casual folk in 1st season.

Crazy changes. I get the idea, but effectively getting fort, tyran, and basically both again with the 20% from guile us gonna be making each pack take years and each boss mechanic starting from a 12 will for sure oneshot. Even 8's seem pretty painful. I am interested to see where this goes haha

The only thing this creates is a new baseline difficulty on a +12 form where every other keylevel scales of. Besides everything being more difficult COMPARED to an 11 it means there are not affixes effectively.

The +20% dmg and health increase are only affecting Non-Boss enemies (trash mobs) and the Tyrannical and Fortified affects everything, incl Bosses. So the one shot from boss abilities u mentioned wont be affected by the +20% to trash stuff. The TLDR of the changes are simply that at +12 an above, they just created an arbitrary exponential difficulty curve with each increase in key level to keep the key levels from going to absurd numbers.

Yeah pretty much M+ dead for anyone who doesn't just do like 8s. 12's are gonna be like 16's. Instead of dead weeks you just quit once you get all your 10's

@@Maschenbroor if you want to push you don’t have to bother with artifical bullshit besides the dungeons. If you pretend nothing below 12 exists its basically the removal of affixes (besides the peril but that ones needs to go).

@@Maschenbro That's not how pushers play though and those changes are intended for those players and does what they have been asking for by removing any variance from a key that affixes have. Now it will be the same every week for pushers to optimize their gameplay and that has always been what those players wanted and has been vocal about. The +12 changes ain't meant for the casual andy who only do their +8 run for their weekly vault. The only reason to do +12 with this new game model would be to improve at your own gameplay and to synergize with friends while pushing the limit of how well you can execute the most optimal gameplay, it's not aimed at the pug scene.

The keys going to be easier by virtue of being affix free. A key at +12 will be treated as just a baseline difficulty from which each increase in key level serve as an exponential difficulty jump. This model will gate players ability to push to absurd keystone levels.

the guile is literally a pointless affix...... like it does nothing but increase stuff the same way key lvls do.... so why not just increase the key scaling at 12+ instead of adding an affix...... its literally redundent

The guile affix is super important. It's their tuning knob for key pushers
