Another cool thing with the soulswap trick I found with big huddled masses, if you do a Soulburn Seed of Corruption before soulswapping and before it detonates, you end up having massive aoe detonations every second on everything you soulswap to as well as the buffed dots.

Good question :) I actualy forgot to mention this in the video - DoT's snapshotting works like this: When your character gets a damage increasing BUFF your dot's will snapshot that damage increase, tho if your character receives a DEBUFF the dot's will dynamicly update, the same counts for enemies.. Haunt and Curse of the Elements both dynamicly updates with dot's :)

From what I can tell it's your haste. You really want to reach the 9778 haste break point in affliction. Affliction is what I've played for about 4 years now and I've noticed since this expansion that haste break point is super important. At 533 ilvl you should be able to hit it without an issue unless you're rocking a lot of gear that is lacking in haste. I would go destro until you collect enough haste gear to easily reach the 9778 with some reforging then go back to affliction. Hope I helped.

Sweet bro thanks. I am no newb when it come to affliction I hadn't played him in a long while but I know I can do this lol. Just wanted to see if it was still a viable spec before wasting my time. Now just got to get this gear thing goin lol. Thanks for info cheers keep doing your thing. The thing is - soul swapping from another target does not work as if you reaplied the dots, it keeps the powers just like the soul swap bug that was going on in ToT :)

Its a good question :) though sadly it's a dps decrease, though it increases your pets burst damage so if you want to burst really high then yes its an increase.

when do i use seed of corruption, should i soulburn it and when? do i cast doomguard and when?(with demo it's not worth the GCD unless BL or -20% hp.) do i cast optical power on CD with observer? rain of fire viable? when? life tap under 50% mana? if all my dot's will be better if i refresh, is it worth the soulburn -> soulswap? i heard that mannoroth's fury is better than archimonde's if there's more than 1 target as demo, this true for affli too? or is it just better to soulswap?

I'm sitting at a 533 ilvl right now and for whatever reason, I simply can't put out the numbers like I should with Affliction. I've followed the guides, watched videos like this, and geared properly. The only thing I can think of is that my haste is a little low so I've been re-geming enchanting to get it up (I think I'm at 7950 right now). I noticed the small buff to incinerate today and went destro, and saw a huge gain in dps. What gives?

Yes it is a weakaura. Do like this - Make a weakauras Go to trigger Make it a "status" then "Action Usable" scroll down abit and write soul swap.

Seed of Corruption is very good for long lasting aoe situations which this tier doesnt allow for at all, so personaly i dont use SoC at all nowadays. Using doomguard depends on the fight, i tend to use mine during heroism no matter when its popped. Life tap when you are oom, the 50% mana life taps is a mechanic only for demo. Mannoroths fury is kinda useless for affli.. Archimondes vengeance is best at all times now considering how week our fillers are (as stated in the video)

You could try the 6637 haste breakpoint till your gear levels get some stronger. just get as much haste as you can after reaching one of the thresholds :)

I have a ilvl 524 lock, it doesn't matter wether I am using Affliction or Destruction, my DPS is very low, I guess I am around 80-90k consistently. I have tried all sorts of things to fix this, but have not been successful at all. no matter what I switch around, it's always the same damage output. I am lost and could use a little help. Okay let me explain the current state of locks :D Destruction is the easiest way to success but it is in the long run the worst performing spec of the 3, not by a lot tho so if you lack skills(and i mean big skills) go destro. Affliction is the best of the 3 specs but it requires alot of skill, you need to know exactly how to manage your dots in every situation. affliction scales incredibly with gear so dont try it without good gear. Demonology is the second best of the 3 specs, but by far the hardest. you need exceptional skills that only very few in the world has to do good dps as demo. if you play demo as an above average player you will see very low numbers.

As ive said millions of times. the haste breakpoints are irrelevant for affliction your passive called pandemic erases the major dps increases haste break points usualy gave. the 13737 haste breakpoint is a dps loss if u sacrifice any mastery for it.

If you cast Soulburn and Soul Swap together, it applies all 3 instantly.

Afflic is probably the top dps in the game right now according to raidbots and not far behind is destro and wayyy far behind is demo. If you cant make this work then I dont know what to say .

Monster Steve I personaly wouldnt look at raid bots as you cant see parses from only top 10 players. both blood legions warlocks are demo and outperforms any destro in the world. for top 10 players its affli > demo > destro really :)

This is not true mate :) when you inhale dots from your target it takes a picture of the duration the 3 dots had the moment you pressed soul swap, when you then exhale the dots to another target it has the duration of the dots that was taken a picture of on the current target, this effect will always occour unless the target you exhale dots at has longer duration dots than the target you inhaled your soul swap.

Waaaaat?! i love the gateway buff because it's awesome to lose all your threat for 1 minute? i dont understand where ppl get the information saying that it does no longer reduce threat... What blizzard have changed regarding soloing: They buffed the portal extremely making it much easier to drop threat. they nerfed soul leech so that it is not even viable anymore. they nerfed soul link so it is not even viable anymore. Voidwalkers are bugged currently, they dont regen threat after they die.
