Finally was able to rent one of these, yes I said rent on Turo of course lol. The one I rented which I was surprised by had 107k miles on it and it drove like your typical jeep. I can say that these are pretty simple vehicles so far as issues there really shouldn't be much as there aren't many electronics that can go wrong on these. I know the door handles, window switches and the typical issues that the v8 twin turbo may have but that's about it. These usually can handle high mileage, these vehicles aren't constantly being resold like other Mercedes. People typically hold onto these for years. Now I will admit that the feel of the car doesn't match its price.

Definitely way better and a much more fun to drive than a Wrangler. I own both (2015 G and 2020 Wrangler) Jeep is no where near the G. Power, torque are a huge dif in the G.

The 63 is better buy as it will hold the value much longer than the 550. Unless you want to make it into a 4x4-2 Just have to install some portal axels

Definitely not reliable. I know someone who had one of these I think 2016-2017 and it was in the shop all the time even when new.

the 2013-2015 550's are non turbo the 2016-2018 G550's are turbo. definitely more issues w/the turbo versions
