This was a informative. I had been wondering about smaller towns. The older I get the more appealing small towns are. Thanks for showing.

This is a great video. I wish we could take a month off from work and see these towns in person for more than a few days. We were in Chesterfield in March and spent time in Keene. I wanted to drive and see Walpole but ran out of time. We're heading back up in June to the Lakes Region and Portsmouth. You give great nuggets of information. Thanks so much.

Taxes are... not that high compared to where some people may be moving from. My dad left NH and his total tax burden is twice what it was in NH for alot less house/property

In 201 I saw homes sell at 40% of their 2006 sales price. This was in Raymond. It happened in other towns too. I suspect I may see this kind of correction in the future. That means your $500k home may be worth only $200k in the future.

Maybe. We don't have the same mortgage crisis, but the layoffs keep coming. We'll see

Just about any town in NH can have affordability and excess in the same zip codes. We have the lowest income disparity and the rich don't group together so much as find a random hill to make their own paradise. As a result, you'll see some high prices anywhere you look.

What land can you purchase to build a home in NH? Also, what is the minimum square footage of the house that's allowed?
@franko8572 Жыл бұрын
Way to vague of question. That’s like asking where on earth can you do those things.

See houses all the time that are 800 Sq ft. If you're wanting to do a mobile Tony home, you'll just need enough space to go unnoticed.

A quarter of a million dollar for a house with only one bathroom in a town in middle of nowhere ... and you are trying to pass that as a good bargain. What has the world come to?

I worked for the Hollis school system for 10 years. I know exactly how corrupt and political that small town is. We had parents calling in the staff at the school demanding better grades for their students. Half of the kids don’t get off their own cell phones and have better vehicles than the staff. Also, most of them are very arrogant and destroy their own school. They also have no idea of possessions frequently leaving computers, leather jackets. In any other item that an over privileged kid could care less about. We also had Hollis teacher, robs bank teachers, not being able to get their students off of their self friends during class. And a lot of waste going right out into the dumpster, that’s cool is career driven most of the upper staff will step on anybody and destroy anybody’s life to get a better job. They do not fix problems. I know I was born there Wister Rd., Hollis, NH is definitely been taken over by the yuppies. They used to come into the school, expecting to use it on their whim, even though there was a schedule.

Hi cody. How does one find a good real estate agent in n.h.?
@LivinginNewHampshire Жыл бұрын
HI Cathy, you could start by searching agents in the area that you're looking to purchase a home. Read reviews, check for an online presence, then send them a message and see how responsive they are. I cover most of the state, so feel free to contact me if you'd like.

@@cathymolina9139 You live in New Hampshire? I’m planning on relocating there but I don’t have enough information about the cost of living there and the weather condition.

@Leon Mason I lived in hudson years ago. Personally I think that one could afford to live there with a budget. I've seen homes that would fit my income but I'm not quite ready to retire yet. In the mean time I'm stuck in s.c.

If you were looking at affordable housing why did you look where you did? You should have looked further west towards Cheshire County and further north.
