Afghanistan, A Short Film (Arma 2 Machinima)

A small convoy of US troops is hit by an IED and then ambushed in Afghanistan. A10's and Blackhawks are called in to rescue the pinned down soldiers.

very nice video. things i highly recommend you do to make it more realistic: replace the UCP soldiers with the OCP uniform, use a real medevac UH-60, rh_m4's to replace the SCAR's and other weapons with M4A1 with ACOG optics, etc. and the armored humvees with gunner shield, etc. they're all mods and you can find them on a really easy to use software called Play With Six. Its also free.

Oh and do you know how to turn on the flashlight on the game or torch. I payed the game on a sweet deal on steam. And i was wondering how to turn on the flashlight on the night. I pressed "L" but it does not work. The gun has an attachment of a flashlight, in other missions i can use lasers, but not flashlight.

That's the MK16 they're using, which is basically a SCAR-L. I don't know if that's planned to replace M4s or something, but US Army troops use those in Arma 2 for some reason.

Yeah I'm familiar with SOCOM's designation for it. But the US Army does not use it nor is it planning on doing so. It might just be in the game because it was a possible candidate for the now canceled M4 replacement program.

Reminds me when my patrol in Afghanistan got destroyed (Arma 2 Realsim) and I was alone on a hill with a T90 and a BTR and a Freaking hind circling. I had no ammo in my M110 and only had my pistol... Good times. I got saved by a Heli and and armoured cars.
