As a person of Jamaican decent living on the UK. I appreciate the apology on behalf of those ancestors that suffered the most on the terrible journey to the Americas and Caribbean. For myself, personally I have mixed feelings as I have been insulted by present day Africans, especially the men. I've been dismissed called slave, more than once. When you hear ordinary west Africans talk about slavery they can be like white people and say it was not me and it history. So I appreciate the apology it's a long time coming, but I'll be sticking with Jamaica.
