The call that should have happened: Girl: "Hello, police? There's a black man over here looking at me!" Dispatcher: "Looking? What do you mean looking? Was he threatening you in any way?" Girl: "Well, he was STARING at me, and that seems threatening." Dispatcher: "Well, people stare at other people every day. I mean, did he SAY anything to you, come near you, or follow you. Or go near your car - or anything?" Girl: "Well, no, none of those things. But he COULD have!" Dispatcher: "OK thanks, goodbye." Click

Respect to the young innocent man & his mother, the lady recording, & the business owner, way to represent for the entire human race!
@babagalacticus Жыл бұрын
there is MUCH in what you say esp the LAST part, however the horrifying 'irony' of all this absurd nonsense is that the young man made it out with a whole skin. was a time....(& STILL is). it is a damn shame that the woman who originally called the popo wasn't given a real stern rebuke by the police for a frivolous call but ofc that is NOT their mindset because if you think about it for even a NANOSECOND, if she claims the young man was staring at HER, then ofc that means she was staring at HIM. hopefully someone someday will call the cops on her give a real taste of this okeydoke horseshit. there is NO WAY in hell this police-civilian interaction should have taken this long. & notice the mealymouth from the supe who claimed that if the young man had simply stated his business that would have been the end of it. except he DID & it still dragged out to this absurd conclusion. it's also a good thing this happened WHERE it did rather than some secluded corner of a deserted parking lot. why are SO MANY white americans COMMITTED to living & behaving this way?

Police are purposely missing the point the restaurant owner made - if it was the other way around, this whole situation wouldn’t be happening. Then they’re blaming him for not pleading his innocence. Calling the police with no valid reason is extremely dangerous as we know this can go horribly wrong at any given moment. Only in America can you get called police on you for looking at someone. The caller is definitely a coward. But the person recording was definitely reaching. She sounds stupid and over dramatic. Why are so many commenters blaming the police? Very unfair. It’s as if the police never received a call and just decided to stop the man because he’s black. Which is untrue. The police is well within their right to question the people/persons involved. The race card is thrown way too far, and stretched very thin because of all this reaching.
