Sorry but they deserved to have the cops called on them. They've never had contact before, but just decided to take a child they never met before without the mother's consent, claiming to be family doesn't excuse this. Too many idiots out there have this delusion that being family means a stay of of jail card, that something that would be a crime if done to anyone else is not a crime when done by a relative. A crime is still a crime regardless of the relationship. If one relative kills another relative they would still be arrested for murder, why would any other crime be an exception?

A friend suggested having sis delete her Facebook posts, better for Op to go to Facebook and give her side as sis is likely not saying what she had done. Remember if you want to take your dispute to Facebook, it could backfire as the other person could give their side of the story. She can't complain about the dispute going public when she took it there first. As for daddy complaining, hey dumbasre, you want to get excluded from the wedding, this is the way to do it. Better yet, exclude daddy and invite the step mom as she was previously supportive.

Last story OP is a greedy AH. If they weren’t greedy they would have encouraged mom to leave things split equally but sister’s share goes to sister’s kids. They make a point of how much they do for the mom BUT they are working for mom and being paid. It’s nice when employers remember faithful employees in their will but can you imagine every single nursing home employee feeling entitled to a cut of any inheritance?
