Unfortunately that's usually closer to most true stories, there is no satisfying ending, people love drama but don't like taking sides unless it benefits them. They had more to lose than gain by sticking together as a unit so the victim got screwed in every aspect and had to just get out for his own survival. The best revenge is focusing on yourself, building a better life, and making sure its made clear they will never, ever, be a part of it.

Whenever something goes on in a family and the others start saying "But they're FAMILY!" or "Family first!", it's their not so quiet way of saying "You don't matter; only OUR reputations do, so go fuck yourself." Family fist is ALWAYS a way of telling someone to do what THEY want.

This story doesn`t really fit the title. The readers were left hanging. How did he ruin the wayward couple`s lives? In the end, it doesn`t really matter. He just needs to remember that he has escaped the whole scenario. His family was always dysfunctional and he`s better out of it. OP should find a reputable therapist and talk out his situation. Hold his head high when he hears nasty rumours circulating among his coworkers. They will move on to the next gossip soon enough. Is it fair he is going through all the disruption in his life? No. But he should keep in mind that back `home`, his worthless brother, Adam, and his faithless fiancee,Tina, have each other. When trying to excuse himself, Adam referred to Tina, the mother of his child, as `some girl`. One day he will `smirk` at the absolute wrong person after doing them dirt. He will pay and mommy and daddy will not be able to fix it. Everyone keeps referring to Adam and Tina`s actions as `a mistake`. Great way to start a life together. And Tina, she has shown such weakness of character and lack of morals that OP is better off without her. One day, she will do to Adam as she has done to you.

half baked story with no ending. giving it thumbs down. total waste of time. besides story makes no sense. why would treacherous family and ex fiance keep harassing op after being exposed. makes no sense. what exactly would they need from op besides money to keep pestering him, since his treacherous bro is a bum with no stable job or carrier. I think without op s support, rest of family has no chance of raising the child and taking care of themselves.
