When my kids were at home, I always did a night sweep of the house. I would get ready for the next morning and breakfast. For me, this made it easier to face the early morning light. Now that I am just one, I still clean up the kitchen and wash any dishes in the sink. I've been able to keep this pledge to myself for five years now.
