To the ATB family, It's a tragedy what had happened, and all your fans are mourning with you today for this huge loss in the metal community. Justin Lowe will be greatly missed. He was a great dude and musician who knew how to loosen up even though he had his fair share of struggles. This goes to show that mental illness is never to be taken lightly, and that it can be just as deadly as a physical disease. Rest in Peace Justin. We will miss you.

It is not about just playing fast. Being a fan of bands like Dream theater, BTBAM and Soilwork. I cant say i knew him (Justin Lowe) by name before the whole previous events, but ive known his work, and the album rareform got me into all things extended range and polyrhythmatic. He has had a huge impact on my life, his playing is outstanding, ive admired him and whoever the other player is for a very long while now. Aspirations may be one of my favorite songs ever, and that song alone prompted my 8 string purchase. Reading this when shared by David Angle earlier today, was crushing. Tears came to my eyes and i sat for a moment thinking and wondering. Its not the years you live, but the life in the years you do live. Honestly, are his recordings and what he's done going to live on and inspire people in the future to pick up guitar, or lust for new ideas and instruments they didnt even know about prior to the band? He has made an impact, and he will continue to do so, so to me, his memory will remain in my style, probably everyone here's style to some degree, and in the minds of everyone who will listen to the band. I wish his family well, if its like this to us, i cant imagine what it's like for them.

For a guy who wrote an 'easy' looking riff on paper, this song's guitaring just shreds. I'm truly sorry for anyone who is affected by the loss of a brother in metal in Justin. Djent being boring is a matter of opinion. I find Djent to be amazing. Why? Because I'm a drummer. Djent is not intended to be a genre towards the sort of shredding that you would see in bands like dream theater or any other technical form of music. Its intended to expound on unique forms of Rhythm. Don't like it? That's cool. I find 20 min. of shredding boring. Its a matter of taste. Good Djent Guitarists have a unique sense of Rhythm.
