I hang up the shirts and the bottoms I put in the dresser. I bought the dollar store plastic bins. If you put them in the dresser on the right angel they fit perfect (at least for my dresser). Then each bin inside the dresser gets shorts, pajamas.. so on. The high sides of the bins helps everything stay in place and organized. Also another suggestion, I use the 3 tier plastic drawers from target or Walmart. I put that in the closet. I labeled each plastic drawer underwear and socks.

I personally like dressers. It’s easier to fold and put it away then extend it and hang it. Finding hangers is a hassle and space to put stuff away is even harder.

Needed this today! I have family coming soon. I have so much to tackle. I like to hang my clothes. It’s just easier .. bc if I fold them they’ll just kind of sit around and pile up. Thank you for the motivation and have a wonderful day! ❤️

You got this! Have fun with your family 💕Yeah, I am worried about it contributing to the clothes piling up....we all know I already struggle with that 😄

We use an IKEA Jonaxel 4 drawer in each kids closet. We do no fold for them, because kids. I wash all 3 kids clothes together, and they sort from the dryer into their individual laundry baskets and put away. Ours kids are 7, 5, and 3.

I'll look into that! Thank you for the suggestion 💞

I do something similar to this, also! I wash and my kids put it away (7,4&2- I handle my 2yr olds) but since letting them put away their own clothes, the stress of laundry has decreased drastically! I homeschool and let them pick their own clothes out for the day and they are able to get their own pjs for baths in the evenings and put their laundry in their individual baskets each evening. Once I let go of keeping their clothes perfectly folded, it took so much stress off me! They keep them organized as far as shirts, pants, pjs, underclothes.. but I don’t constantly keep everything folded neatly. Every season change I go through them and do a big deep organize 😄

I did something similar. Just don’t micromanage their drawers or you will go crazy! My kids are young adults now and have clean and wrinkle free clothing! Good luck momma.

My opinion about the dressers.... I wished my girls had a bigger closet (they share a room) so I could hang all clothes 😩 if you get a dresser I honestly wouldn’t get one with more than 3 drawers. (ikea $39 and paint it whatever color you want) Pjs, undies, and socks (and leggings for girls) or get a nice cube organizer with bins that way they could have a couple favorite toys along with the clothes you want folded.

Thanks so much Bambi 💕It seems most of ya'll are just advising that I stick with the closet system so I probably will. I need to get another bin of some sort for their socks and underwear, but, I think that will be it.

I have this habit seperate dark load from my light load🤓. Washed and put away. There are times the load is small and has dark and light laundry i will throw in a sheet of Colour Catcher😆. Save water and Laundry liquid and electric and most important time. Preferably daily do at least a load not let laundry pile up. Good video👍 Good nite🥱😴

I definitely send my kids out so I can clean lol! It's so much easier when I don't have to explain what I'm doing to a 5 year old 😂😂 you make me want to do yoga!! I love seeing your IG stories of how good you are at it!! You look so pretty in that pink shirt. Now I need to go clean lol I love having dressers for my girls bedroom. It makes it easy, but I also like the cube bins for their dresses. They have SO many clothes and I need to reorganize stat lol

Clean up takes a lot longer when the kids are involved, and it's definitely not relaxing 😬Gosh, yoga has been an off and on thing for me since 2014. I first started with Jillian Michaels Yoga workout videos and I've been thinking of getting back into them. They are an amazing workout and also killer for stretches and improving flexibility.

Id love dressers for my kids. We’ve always used cube shelves, but their clothes are getting too big for that to work.
@AmandaSandefur4 жыл бұрын
Right, as clothing sizes increase it complicates the storage situation....I like the idea of having the dressers and teaching the kids the Marie Kondo method of folding. But we'll see if they would actually do it, haha! 😄

Do you keep towels in your kitchen?

I keep my dish towels and cleaning rags in the kitchen, as well as the table runners. My other towels are stored in linen closets.

My kids dressers don’t stay near or organized. Half the time I walk into their room and the drawers are hanging open with the clothes pawed through. It’s annoying. I would say stay doing what you’re doing. But that’s just my opinion. When clothes are hung up they stay nicer, until they become teens and try a bunch of stuff on without hanging it back up lol.. maybe us moms just can’t win either way 😂
@AmandaSandefur4 жыл бұрын
That's what I'm envisioning with dressers 😆Drawers hanging open with clothes everywhere. Hanging everything does have it's challenges, I feel like it's more time consuming to put it all away, and the kids are breaking at least 1 hanger a day 😑But, I do worry about dressers adding to the clothes piles issue...

The dressers.... thumbs down here. You’ll get the cloths all organized in the drawers. Then they want THAT shirt, PJ set or pants. Everything gets dumped in the floor. So also. Drawers are great places for kids to hide toys books and other stuff you tell them to put away.😂. Finally, as they grow all the small stuff gets lost and jumbled in the mix. I like your closets. Everything where you can see it. Just move the cloths lower so they can reach when you want them to.
@AmandaSandefur4 жыл бұрын
That's true, haha! I didn't even think about them using the drawers to stuff things when it's time to clean up 😆

Hi!! New subscriber! I have a channel too I’d love for you check it out! My youngest daughters dresser stays pretty well organized. She’s 17 months old though. I hang up her shirts and use the dresser for onesies, pants, jammies and then I use smaller drawers at the top for other things like bloomers, shoes and I even have a drawer for extra diapers. So I really like having it for her. My 4 year olds dresser doesn’t stay as organized. She loves to get clothes out of her drawers all the time! But her closet isn’t big enough for everything so I think it’s still better than just a closet for us!

Stick to hanging. Kids ALWAYS just pull out whatever and mess up everything that’s folded. (Even my husband) I hang everything. No wrinkles, and easy to find what you’re looking for.
