It still comes down to AD, w/o AD's dominance they don't stand a chance. They're deep but so are the Nuggets, and yk Jokic and Murray are gonna dominate. If AG, Bruce Brown, KCP join in...Lakers are gonna have nightmares. But someone said the Lakers matchup better with the Nuggets than vice versa which is true. The high octane Nuggets offense though is probably enough for them in addition to a decent defensive play.

The Nuggets cheated off the corner and dared KD and Booker to make the skip pass. They were mostly unable to do it. I don't think they can employ that same strategy against the Lakers. LeBron may be the greatest skip passer ever. I'm all in on the Nuggets bandwagon, but I think this is a really tough matchup for them. The Lakers have more defensive answers for the Nuggets than the other way around, imo. I think this series comes down to AD's health. If he looks like he did in the first two rounds, I think the Lakers win, much as I hate to say it.

Aaron Gordon is lab made to guard LeBron. Go under on every screen and contain the drive. Force the ball into AD post ups. Nuggets will be completely fine with AD post ups and double him in the clutch forcing him to be playmaker and kicking the ball out to out of rhythm shooters. I think KCP will limit all their ball handlers in screens, Austin Reeves and DLo. The only way Lakers stay in games is honestly foul trouble and Jokic will know that and let AD score some easy ones on him.

Denver don’t have the shooters that GSW had . Steph and Klay just put fear into your defense along with their gravity. Den don’t have that as their shooters are like ours, inconsistent at times. Murray, MPJ and KCP can shoot but are not “marksmen”. Gordon will get the Draymond GP treatment and might get played off the floor. I expect the lakers to shrink the floor like they did in the Memphis series as you can stick to their shooters but don’t have to shadow them around like GSW. I think after coming from the GSW series, imo will have faced a better defense from Looney Draymond vs Jokic Gordon and will just feast inside. Lakers are battle tested and have the experience to win this series. We faced adversity all season. Lakers in 6. Don’t sleep on us!

I think that people aren't taking into account the extent that the warriors melted down against the lakers when thinking about this Nuggets/Lakers series. I think that Lebron is a brilliant floor general and can cause meltdowns like these, but in the end I think the Lakers bench has been looking godlike against pretty defensively suspect teams, and we'll see the nuggets largely have control over this series.

Personally I think it makes more sense for AD to be on Gordon so his shot blocking isn't being neutralized by Jokic's size and his passing to cutters. It's really hard to guard a postup, then have to turn around and try to block a cutter. It will be a lot easier to help off of a mediocre shooter like Gordon. Then again, Joker is going to punish any smaller player, so you really have to pick a poison here. I'd try my luck with Vanderbilt on him and AD protecting the paint from the weak side. Maybe try Lebron from time to time if he has the energy for it.
