Let's not forget his primary defender in the game was also the DPOY lol. Just throw that in there too. This was a legacy game for Jokic. [I'm from Cleveland and grew up watching LBJ, so I could def name a couple games better.. LBJ at Detroit in the 07 ECF scored 25 straight & 29 of 30 in 4Q/OT/2OT. Had like 48, 15, 12 & beat the billups/sheed/Big Ben Pistons with a GARBAGE team. That game comes to mind. Game 7 2018 ECF *in* Boston. Before joker my favourite player ever was Steve Nash. I always respected players who focused on passing more and that’s probably because I grew up playing hockey not basketball which is a little more of a team focused sport than basketball and I always played either D or C and got more assists than goals so that mentality transferee to hoops. It's really crazy to think about really. You've got the defensive player of the year...and he got cooked by the mvp WTF are you gonna do?

I don't think Gobert shouldn't be DPOY because of Jokic. I think so because he is a drastically less versatile defender than players like Dort or McDaniels.
