Magnus did an interview with Chessbase India. He had been given the critical positions from Anand's 9 best games and he had to find the opponent and the move. He got 8 of them correct. This game was one of them. Sorry if it was totally random!

Interestingly, this is the same line Leela would go for (1.e4 d5 is book) diverging on move 12 with castles. Rh3 is second option.
