#suggestion: Hi Agad! not sure if you are aware, but Faustino Oro from Argentina is currently playing the "Cerrado IM de Barcelona" and just needs 1 point in the last 2 matches to get his last IM norm. Today, if he wins (or at least hold a draw and another one tomorrow) it will become the youngest IM player of history, but even if he doesn´t get the norm, he is the youngest player on reaching 2200, 2300, a NM title, an IM norm and also on reaching 3000 on lichess on rapid (I think - or bullet). Would be awesome if you can cover some of his games, i.e. yesterday he won a game where he was 100% accuracy on his firsts 21ish moves!!! and he didn´t finish 100% since he went for an end game where he can exchange quicker. It was round 6 against Alex, Villa Tornero - Thanks for your time and content, been following your channel for some years now. Cheers!

Gukesh played an impressive match against Magnus during the World Cup, but he lost due to errors in the endgame. In the second game against Magnus, he drew, partly due to poor endgame play resulting from time pressure. Gukesh's endgame skills have been improving since that match. Gukesh's biggest problem is time trouble; otherwise, he can often find strong moves even in complex positions. His endgame skills are definitely developing. He won against Abasov in candidates due to an amazing endgame

I believe that this is a showing of the fact that they are children, and the problem with modern male chess players. The computer allows them to super accelerate growth, but that blocks them from the hours needed to be well-rounded and develop the deep understanding of the game and calculation discipline of people from Kasparov's era. I hope the trainers sit with them to study the end game, because this showing means people will try to force them into complicated endgames.
@Anon_581
@Anon_581 2 күн бұрын
This endgame is much more tricky than the video here makes it seem. Forcing the rook trade by Black and ending up with doubled f-pawns and evaluating that as winning for Black is already counterintuitive enough (a 3-2 pawn majority on one side with well placed kings is a draw most of the time, you'd think it being more so when there's doubled pawns for the side with the 3 pawns). There are a lot more variations that White could've tried to be tricky and swindle out a draw which Agad didn't show, you can go see the video on the Chessbase India channel where this endgame was analyzed in much more depth. It definitely isn't a "showing of the fact that they are children... blah blah blah".

Correct, with more experience and more games played which only comes with time, the end game patterns become more understood, partially negating the lack of time remaining on the board. Fast forward a few years worth of more experience and neither of them make these blunders.
