Thanks for reviewing this very interesting game! Instead of the winning move Rf4 you proposed at 13:05 in the video, Qxf7+, Kxf7, d8Q (the bishop cannot take the queen because it is pinned!) caught my eye. Unfortunately, black has the saving move Qc6+, which I believe leads to a draw even though white is the exchange and 1 pawn up. However, had white's king been on h3 instead of g2, the same sequence would have been winning!!

No, it doesn't. This guy interrupts himself constantly, and without warning, to talk about alternate moves. His accent makes it even more annoying; especially every time he says a word with a "u" or a "w" in it. To top it all off, he always stops his own commentary halfway through to offer a puzzle for his viewers to solve, and then pats on the back the ones who bothered to get it right. It's incredibly patronizing and annoying. If I watch chess content, then I want to watch the game play out, because this is a KZbin video, not an online lecture from Oxford University.

It doesnt come with the check so, black queen would take the chance to give a check from c6. And if the white king moves to h3, then black and white will go on a checking spree, and eventually end in a draw with threefold repetition. Instead king to h3. White will have to block with Qd5 and after black takes the queen, its winning for black. It'll promote its 2 past pawns.

Lets let Ding decide how hard it is to play the most difficult game in the world against the absolute best in the world at midnight. No need to always blurt out an opinion on things you have no way of knowing. Maybe some other shit is playing in his life, but there is definitely an argument to have with the playing at midnight.

@@erik2757 Yes, waking up early and finding the energy for the long hard walk to your computer to play online. I'll remember to use Ding's hardships as an inspirational story when a nurse or doctor working night-shifts, then day-shifts, spending an hour travelling through the frozen dead of winter, roads covered with snow and ice dare say their day was difficult. Maybe think of all the hardships most people do daily, before mounting this pathetic argument that walking up early to play online chess is so detrimental. Even Ding would probably laugh LMAO reading this ridiculous drivel. Even with your limited scope, you must be aware that Ding can prepare beforehand for the (insurmountable hardship) of waking up early, after all, its his career.

I think Ding does poorly in these tournaments because of timezones. Living in China, he literally has to play at like 2 a.m

Agadmator and Duda missed the best move! When Dubov attempted to protect his bishop (12:47 in the video) after Black moved Kg7, instead of Kg2, the brilliant Qxf7+!! GAME OVER!!!

@@trequor not really, rather understandable First name (personal), 'middle name' , family name. Now, 'middle name' is generally father's name+ a suffix meaning son or daughter. So: Daughter of Yuri? Yuryevna Daughter of Vladimir? Vladimirovna Son of Dmitri? Dmitrivich Son of Ilya? Ilyich

@@johnaustin704 There are objective reasons to prefer one way of doing things over another (this is not necessarily the case here). The prevalence of English is not solely because of the reach of the British Empire, followed by the dominance of America. It is also because English has incredibly simple grammar (at a basic level), with very few verbs, prepositions, and affixes that are essential to speaking the language and being understood. Example 1: most plural forms are expressed with a simple "-s" suffix. Example 2: Almost any noun can be transformed into a verb by adding the suffix "-ing". But again, these naming conventions are not necessarily better than the other.
