Bach is of the Baroque period, ~1600-1750, and it was only in the Classical period, 1750-1800 that Mozart and Haydn started shaping the symphony genre. It that period they were mostly regarded as entertainment/background music (at social events). Beethoven was the one who shaped the genre into what we view it to be now.

and Vivaldi..??...back end of the 1600's, early 1700's....the world's first rock star perhaps..?? His 4 seasons, apart from its virtuosity ( and an inspiration for Paganini), was perhaps the first cohesive work of 'modern' music, rather than individual tunes, of which Bach was a master.

I’m not sure that I have ever seen such an amazing game of Chess. Dubov moves his pieces with such ease, confident and sophistication it’s difficult to keep up with the ever changing web of inter-relationships between his pieces. And the threat of danger passes between at least eight pieces with just a single move of one of them; like the many headed hydra, each piece, almost in turn, threatens the end for Black. Even Black’s capture of major pieces seems to have no effect on White’s March to victory. Astonishingly.

This guy is a 2600 GM and Dubov made him look like a child. It's crazy to see as we grow in rating because when you're 800, you look up to 1100s, and so on and so on. You never expect this level of suffocation to come at the top level when everyone is a professional at chess. But this really goes to show the thin line that separates the Super GMs from GMs. Truly impressive performance by Dubov. Any time you post a video with him, I already assume it's going to be a wild ride. Great content as always Antonio!

Is something sublime that make us not think and admire leaving us with an ecstatic feeling and leave the world in the direction of the evolution. You are doing good Agda, thanks to make chess so popular and enjoyable without putting your ego.

I think pawn to e6 was the pivotal move. What a game.

The title and Dubov got me here. My favorite chess players are Tal,Waitzkin,Chucky and Dubov.Dubov has my respect cause he is not affraid to play against Karlsen and beat him and his games are always interesting.

I wish Mikhail Tal was born at our time so we could watch him play, but at least we have Dubov!!

This is why Dubov is my favorite player. He is the modern Tal. I would love to see him as WCC but I don't think it's in the cards. Still, nothing diminishes games like these!

Dubov has been my favorite active player for some time now. I think he's got the goods to be world chess champion some day.
