During the last week, this channel became somewhat Armenian chess channel :D Aronian, Petrosian, so many types of Kasparov hahaha. As a continuation I have a #suggestion to analyse the game between Varuzhan Akobian and David Baramidze from the World Team championship 2013. It's a very sharp game with a positional queen sacrifice. Cheers Antonio! ОТВЕТИТЬ
@BMessemer
@BMessemer 6 жыл бұрын
So you may be wondering about the move "1966." So, clearly this is an inaccuracy at least, the engine calls it a blunder but, okay. So what's the idea here? On move 12 (0:12) Antonio played the move "1966." Well if you analyze several more moves, you will see that Antonio was preparing the line on move 27 (0:27) "the game ended in a draw after 66 moves." So you can see here that at move 12 the standard line in this position is "1996" but Antonio was calculating too far ahead in his variation and played the move "1966." Although this was an inaccuracy, this line has never been played before so may want to consider this a novelty in the game.

During the blunder [7:38].. what if 1 ..Qa7 or 1 ..Qb6. Wouldn't Kasparov still have the queen on his board - sacrificing just a rook in the process? 1..Qb6 2 Qxc8 Ke7 and then the white queen needs to return to 3 Qg4 is it not? Materially, black is just a rook to bishop exchange down and is a pawn up. Better than losing the queen on board, is it not?
