@ItsPowie6 жыл бұрын
@@superscatboy No, repeating 'KA-BOOM' forty million times throughout a six hour stream stops being funny after the first hour regardless. After that it gets really annoying. The story about me getting a headache from it was just meant to be a comparison between that and 'cancer sob stories', and why I'd take cancer sob stories above the alternative. Why do you want the GDQ crowd to stop sharing their stories because you don't like sob stories? Get over yourself :thinking:
@superscatboy6 жыл бұрын
@@ItsPowie GDQ is supposed to be an event where people have fun with speedrunning, in order to raise money for a good cause. It's not an event to be miserable about cancer and also do some speedrunning in the background. If having a laugh with the kaboom joke is getting people to donate, then it's a great thing - it was objectively helping the charity by getting people to participate. On the other hand, sob stories bring everyone down and completely kill the mood in the room. This is detrimental to the atmosphere, the runner, and ultimately the charity. It's got nothing to do with personal preferences - the kaboom joke was clearly raising money, and the sob stories clearly don't. If you have a headache, turn the volume down. If you want the event to be a success, let people have some fun. Again, get over yourself. This isn't about you - it's about the event.

500 dollar donations: hey everyone have fun and have a good run! 25 dollar donations: It all started when I was born. I was born into a family of six. My parents, three brothers, and one sister. We all lived in a small town in upstate New York. I was the youngest and the only girl. I have always been close to my brothers, but when it came to my sister, she was always the one that I looked up to. She was four years older than me and was always so sure of herself. She knew what she wanted in life and she went after it. She was the one that inspired me to be who I am today. My story begins on the day I was born. I was born into a family of five children. My mother was a stay-at-home mom and my father was a mechanic. We were a typical middle-class family. We lived in a three-bedroom house with a backyard. We had a dog and a cat. I was the youngest of three sisters and two brothers.

ALPHA LAS When he submitted the run the record was at like 5:52 and he asked the estimate to be 6 hours which is kind of rediculous. You can make minutes of mistakes in runs that are only a few hours long. Like the Odyssey run even though had a couple mistakes still was 7 minutes behind wr at the end. And sms 100% was also 6 minutes over the wr and he shouldn't have overestimated himself that he would make only 8 minutes of mistakes in a 6 hour run. Especially with this like item sliding and manual superswim and sploosh kaboom which can lose you over 8 minutes alone. He should have asked the estimate to be at least 6:15. Especially how sgdq 2018 went also this game is really hard and I understand that he may be nervous but still.
