I had a lot of fun with this mission as a kid bc I did it the intended way and always afraid the flag bearer would die so I killed a bunch if the first army. But yeah this mission kinda sucks when you're good. I can't wait for what you do for the last two missions. Those have so many fun things you can do.

I'm pretty sure the enemy factions get a bunch of free upgrades every time you recruit an army pretend to keep things fair, instead of the northwest guy having more than the others.

Did you notice that Arkantos said "Vibald has fallen in battle! Our axes are yours to command!" ? I wonder what happened to his voice?!

Didn't notice that! Weird voice changes are one of the particular quirks of the videogame medium, aren't they? I remember one time I was playing Oblivion and this one minor NPC suddenly changed his voice. I thought maybe he was possessed or under magical control or something. Turned out it was just an abrupt and inexplicable change of voice actor.

Yeah I have no words for this mission. I did this for the first time and I'm disappointed especially since it's duable on Titan difficulty.

This mission gave me my favourite method of killing lot if men. Build some towers close to each other. Then lead the hero to the enemy army. They will follow hero.lead the hero to the towers and then move him around. Enemies will follow him and keep getting attacked by the towers. It takes time but I love it.

Yep, on some of the hardest campaign missions it can be very efficient to lure the enemy in circles or slaloms around towers/forts. If you have good reflexes, you can do things like garrison people into them and then pop them back out on the other side to make sure none of your troops even get injured.

I'd just like to think thats the army we get when we do the Unlikely Heros mission. But yeah it sounds like it could have been way more fun if you had to choose one of the three. You'd really have to use your towers then.

Don't torture yourself with Tale of the Dragon, it's buggy and if you think this is luckbased, the triggers make it like playing in a casino with number of troops attacking you, not to mention on titan.

I think this is one of the most creative ideas for a mission I've seen in an RTS. But there's a big difference unfortunately between a good idea and a good implementation
