I wonder if Hathor has been switched out for Sobek. I'd like that because it makes much more sense since the Petsuchos' correct name - as we can see in Retold - is Petsobek which means "descendant of Sobek". I also hope that Trolls, Promethians, Wadjets, Fenris Wolves and Manticores get buffed. They are very weak compared to other myth units in the same age.

Yes, I clearly remember them being most useless. Specially the winged snake. Trolls can pack some punch is you mass them, which was difficult to do in the OG where myth units cost a lot of pop and the game has a very low pop cap.

Don't know if Sobek was put instead of Hathor, but the name of the Petsuchos has changed, they did another video giving an insight about the game after Summer game fest (I think it's on the Xbox channel on KZbin) and they show at some point some attacking units and when they select the Petsuchos it says Petsobek :) if I find the video and the timestamp I will share it here!

This is looking to be on one heck of a game. I grew up with this game. I can't wait to revisit it. My one grip is the Gaia redesign. Feeling like my Goddess Titan of the whole earth has been nerfed into a tree.

I am very happy with the redesign. It went from "guys we have to ship the game out but we don't have a design for Gaia - 'just make it a big woman and ship it'" to actually looking like the personification of earth

Can't wait! I'm very curious though about the "original concept" you mentioned at ~07:11 minutes. Does that mean, that we can expect even more gameplay changes than the renewable god powers? What does this mean for the campaign (it is altered to fit the new/changed gameplay)? What about the synchronisation of the game? Are there new voice lines and are they from a new cast entirely or can we look forward to the iconic original cast (in all languages) we are grew up to and only the new dialogue is done by a cast?

I think re usable godpowers is a great addition. Can't wait to zeus bolt a myth unit every time one comes over early. Curious to see how they balance that though. Also can't wait to see what new factions they add. Still would prefered a new aom but I'll settle for it being upgraded and some new content. Maybe if it does well we get an aom 2?

No new information. I would like to know if the net code has client side prediction and state reconciliation so that the most laggy players do not slow the game down for everyone. Autoqueue is the normal. Having to think about refilling your villager production and having to do it manually should never have existed in ANY rts. It's basically as stupid as if workers didn't automatically return resources when they hit their carry capacity AND didn't go back to gather once they dropped it off

@@DarkMSG The "strats" you talk about would just evolve and be better if the player's attention wasn't sunk in a menial, repetitive, numb task. The strategies high-level players would be able to come up with and experiment would be more amazing if the game allowed them to by freeing their attention from microing the town center all the time. Mechanical "skill" should never be too important in strategy games or else the strategy aspect completely vanishes. Using your brain to outsmart the enemy should be what people call "skill" in this genre.

It’s a personal preference thing but the super precise build orders kinda ruined it for me
