Regarding the military guys in the first one, I always liked the theory that MiB always brought in people like that when testing new recruits. The whole purpose of that session was to test J. @stanleyshady9465 Жыл бұрын

Reason he got chosen by K, it's because J could see more than what it was in plain sight, remember what he said about the silhouettes of aliens? That they were doing other activities and they weren't dangerous, while the strange little girl with an advanced book was around there, so she was suspicious. He also chased a very fast alien, too, so he had skill, deduction and passion despite of not having a career that required a long and exhaustive training. That story is more interesting that J getting in MIB, just because of nepotism.
@tenshidust3501 Жыл бұрын
@@shehranazim4784 Problem with some fan theories, it's that they ignore what it was presented in the story and then they go their own way like it was just fanfiction. If you remember, those men in uniform were neuralized after the test, of course, you can say they only did that to pretend something, but, no, J didn't even notice that happened. That scene just tells you how MIB recruit people and they consider high skill and preparation, but, in the case of J, he had that skill, he could see what the others didn't, "what a little girl doing in that dangerous neighbor with a very advanced book", he also told the other aliens may just exercising or doing something non-threatening, what we saw they do later in the film. He also had devotion and passion, despite of only being a police officer, where the training to become one it's softer and short, this movie just rehashed that, it's a touching and nice ending, certainly, but, that made it look like J actually got in MIB, because he had a contact inside the organization and that was it.
@tenshidust3501 Жыл бұрын
@@stanleyshady9465 In the 1st one they said they don't depend on anyone, those military and marines were there for the test, too, the only connection you can make with this plot that, of course, was written later only to make a new movie, it's that K wanted only J to join MIB and this 3rd movie could explain why.

For anyone that is confused about the continuity, my theory is that Griffins line "where there is death, there will always be death" implies that certain events in time are meant to happen no matter how much you change in the past. In other words, in the original timeline before J and Borris traveled back in time, J's father still died which and it inspired K to look after him until he was old enough to join MIB. Just like in this scene.
@Milliardo__Peacecraft Жыл бұрын

Most movies (especially bio movies) won’t use teenagers to represent the person when they are younger, they will usually use the adult actor who in real life is typically in their early to mid 30s. @@STho205 I’m mainly talking about revenge of the sith lol, casual Star Wars fans don’t know much at all about the story, they barely know darth Vader is Luke’s dad, if you’ve seen the original 3 either before or after it doesent really matter, watching the prequel trilogy brings a whole new perspective on a ton of things, which is why I feel they are Severely underrated, sure the cgi might be campy. But as far as actually adding to the whole story of “star was” I think they are essential to knowing darth Vader and how he came to be.

@JoDaeHo Жыл бұрын
And it also shows that the reason he was blunt throughout the series compared to his youth was the responsibility and guilt of Jay's father's death. This is also a sad tragedy, but K's line "it's been my privilege" at the end of the movie shows that the two main characters were eventually saved, overcame tragedy, and ended with a beautiful ending with a noble spirit for each other.

You know watching Men in black 1-2, K would've fired J at some point, but this scene made so much more sense now as to why K kept J around all this time. The thing about this movie is that it exactly justifies its existance and adds much needed context for the first film of the series. We always wondered why J got picked to be in the Men in Black. But just had to assume he got noticed for his personality and abilities as an officer.

His dad was legit a hero died doing somthing no one would ever believe and died for a world that doesn’t even like him. But on top of it all leaving behind your son in that world. I think the fact that K actually took care of J the entire time without him knowing also hits deep. He stayed true to his promise despite you thinking he wouldn’t due to the time this took place.
