+Cha0sSp3ar I play a version of this deck since november with good success, and I play 4 Rabblemaster. The creature is insane and also helps you recover from early boardwipes. Also, I don't run frenzied goblin and mogg fanatic, since they just don't do enough in my experience. Also mogg war marshal and the new Bushwhaker have been disappointing for me. I'd advise to run 3 Simian spirit guide, since Piledriver trun 1 or Rabblemaster turn 2 is just silly.

+M B I have tested it out and it's way worse than it seems. Merfolk uses so well because 60%+ of their deck is 2 drops. You have to choose between 1, 2, and 3 for this deck and it's a nonbo with our 8 whackers.

I got into argument about Dragon Claw with someone. They were convinced only a newb would use that card. However, I think it works it Mono Red Burn or Mono Red Goblins as a sideboard card. Against another Mono Red deck, it turns their Lightning Bolts into Shocks. If you get two of them out, then suddenly you can exchange Lightning Bolts to the face and your life total will go UP.

I will say it: quest for the Goblin Lord is a substitute. Personally I played a budget deck similar to this but I experienced that the Piledrivers and Chieftains just eat removal. I'd rather go for sth. like: 4x denizen, 4x loyalist, 4x quest, 4x grenade 4x dragonfodder, 4x krenko's command, 4x war marshall, 8x bushwhacker 4x hordeling outburst with 20 mountains and 4x obelisk of urd in the sideboard for pyroclasm-effects and grindy matchups. Easy, more resilient to removal and like 10x less expensive.

M. Vipsanius Agrippa ya but the deck seems slower and will basically do nothing without a whacker, and it still folds just as hard to boardwipes, the also quest won't do anything till turn 3 and I much rather have a chieftain

Hey, you remember that NivMagus combo deck Gerry Thompson played in 2012? for PT RTR? Yeah, I played that stock list, replacing the fetches with 4 bloodstained mire and 3 wooded foothills. I smashed face at my LGS. It may be worth revisiting that deck. JUND has took a dive in players, and this matchup against eldrazi is pretty good.

Great vid. Mono Red Goblins is my pet deck, so it's always nice too get a good insight as to what other people think. Your list is pretty similar to mine, though I'd drop one Foundry Street and no Frenzied for two Shared Afflictions. Can make a devastating turn three and/or four. You've definitely made me consider finding room for Frenzied Goblin right now though, just for that instance where he could show up and could really change the match. Decisions!

One can't go wrong with foundry street denzin. Before it cycled out of standard I was using it with a goblin rabblemaster and a mardu ascendency in a horde Strategy type deck.

alternate budget goblins that could be fun in a deck like this, Mogg fanatic, Goblin Arsonist, frenzied goblin, and of course goblin wardriver. Finding some way to refuel your hand may also be an option to make this deck that is growing in popularity back into a rogue build.

I use to play with a goblin deck, but I used Clickslither+Goblin lookout +Goblin warchief and goblin king and it work out very well for me, the deck cost was about 100 dollar and I often beat decks in 1000 dollar +:) fast as hell, but weak when opponents get there decks going.

Wedge, concerning budget options to Goblin Guide, wouldn't Goblin Cohort essentially work out the same in this deck? The only scenario it loses out is that it doesn't have haste itself, but you have enough creature spells to ensure constant triggers and it's by far a cheaper card to obtain. Failing that, a slight increase on the curve for Goblin Wardriver would give you extra aggro-power

Is there already a Goblin Sacrifice deck? Like with all your goblin creatures having the damage player when sacrificed/dies ability, goblin grenades, bogart shenanigans, artillerize, and maybe a Voracious Dragon too.

I've been experimenting with the deck for a long time now, and I've come up with a different list that splashes green for Atarka's Command and Collected Company. Trust me, pre-combat Company is NUTS in this deck.

What if you have some non-budget cards at your disposal? For instance, I have Cavern of Souls and Aether Vial. Would it work in the deck? Because my idea was to make a RG Goblin Deck with Atarka's Command and Aether Vial. Vial being a great card to enable you to swarm. Overall, great video.

what about Quest for the Goblin Lord? I love this card it just out beats most ramp and anything trying to over run you. Burn can't and won't keep up with this card if you have Hordeling Outburst and Dragon Fodder while this is on the field. Turn 2 drop another one and have your tokens at the ready for next turn it can get out of control fast. If your opponent can't get rid of the tokens all at once then he is done for by turn 4.

I absolutely love tribal decks in MTG, $220 is seriously great when compared to other top tier modern decks. I would say that it is comparable to price/aggro to modern infect nowadays, so this gives more players a chance to be in modern

where's the bloodmoon and impact tremors? blood moon screws the eldrazi by making urborg, temple, eye and sanctum all mountains. also messes with fetches and mana fixing lands. tremmors just throws damage at their face when you cast one of your 33 creatures, also mogg hits for 3 (him, the token that comes in with him and the token that comes in when he dies) with tremmors you can also run more token generators for extra dmg. or just play 3 1 drop creatures on turn 3, hit for 3, and have 3 more creatures... also gets around big blockers.

stoke tho. i kinda like it, but it interferes with the aggro strategy. but, there's a great impact tremors modern list on mtggoldfish that should tickle your fancy if you wanna go that route, especially since its cheap! and i wouldnt recommend rabblemaster at all, since it tends to make you trade poorly in combat

I made a goblin deck a few days ago. Mainly 1/1 tokens with dragon fodder+krenko's command+Krenko' Mob Boss. The rest of the cards are kinda just filler: Goblin Piledriver, Goblin Chieftain. This video gave me a few nice ideas for additions, I think i'll buy x4 legion loyaist it seems insanely good. This deck is pretty cheap only cost me like 40$ and it actually does fairly well. I'm kinda new to magic so if anyone has good idea's how to pump out more 1/1 tokens in a red deck it'd be apprectiated :)

I played this list at my lgs and went 2-1, losing to a sideboarded Deflecting Palm from Burn. This deck is easy to play and unbelievably powerful. One thing, though: I did this without Goblin Guide and so did Saffron Olive. It's a great card, but don't let it get you down. I personally think my substitute was terrible (Dragon Fodder), but last minute, it was all I had on hand, and I was lucky to almost never draw it. That said, the deck did great without the guide.

Sub goblin guide with goblin cohort it doesn't have hast but it is still a 2/2 for one Mana and cost about 30 times less plus there is a very high chance you play a creature every turn

Where is Impact Tremors? 1R for creature burn. you dump goblins for days and you may not kill them out right with it but i can sure hell tell you it makes it way easier. that and maybe a goblin bombardment for those last few life points before passing it over to your opponent.

Question- if you were to run this deck with 'Howl of the Horde' from Kahns, would it be possible (post attack) to use it to copy Goblin grenade to deal 15 damage for 4 mana and one sacrificed goblin? A bit mana intensive for this deck, sure, but holy hell that's a game you just won if you pull it off.

+Parker Dixon-Word Yes that would work, copied spells are considered to have all costs paid, including additional ones, however I wouldn't count on having four lands out and needing that much damage. By turn 4 with a strategy like this they should be almost dead, and you hopefully haven't drawn into that many lands. It would certainly be fun though, so be my guest. It probably has some place in modern.

I'd use Mardu Scout since he is a Goblin version of Hellspark elemental. However I fully support Tattermung Maniac since he's an epic one drop, only problem is the forced attacks.
