It makes me sad to say that Inui is one of the only women I've seen take rejection in a non toxic way in anime, or tv in general. She is so calm and understanding of Haida and his situation. She isn't hysterical, histrionic or lashing out at him, she simply talks to him and gives him time to think things over. Why can't we get more Inuis in media? She is fantastic!!!

Actually I think the issue is that Haida is still too immature to feel comfortable with Inui directness. He wants someone who he feels is on his awkward level which is Restuko. I don't agree with everyone who says he should have gone with Inui, because he would have been lying to her about his true feelings and that's not a constructive relationship.

Think of it this way, the heart wants what it wants, and Haida didnt pressure Retsuko to give him a chance; he just wanted to be closer to her than just a coworker. He was concerned about why she was being so secretive and it was obvious to everyone she was having financial issues. He wanted to help her but she built a wall between her and everyone, which she has a right to do...buuuuutt if he did just leave her alone and completely move on from her then Retsuko would have probably been killed by that stalker.

@@pourPOURpour I think it only appears that way if you have a negative mindset. Haida may not know that much about Retsuko, but you can see that he did all this because he loves her. In Retsukos flashbacks to her childhood you can see that she has always been a "good girl and follows the rules" yet she doesnt do good under pressure and when things go very wrong she shuts down. Her friends were saying how if she is out of work too long, she will be fired. If she stays home sulking because shes afraid, she will never get out of her debt. She took time to recover, but she acted as if she were doomed. She let fear keep her victimized. Haida was the only one who knew how to bring her out and knew he had to because no one else would because they felt they should stay in their lane because she had a bad experience...however they were also letting her remain the victim. This is what a person does to their loved ones when they let something take their life over...they push them to break through. He didnt really do it because he wants to be with her; he did it so she can be happy again because he loves her. I think its very difficult for many to see it this way because our society is so use to people who are actually toxic and cannot take no for an answer, therefore many cannot tell good people from the bad, or true love from simple infatuation.

felt so bad for inui. at first i considered her annoying bc she seemed annoyed about certain things while coming off as passive, but then i realized she does a lot of things i can relate to. holding in doubts and concerns because it doesn't seem worth mentioning or caring too much about - until it blows over and you reach the worst of it, lol. but i loved that she just ended up leaving, especially since it was conveniently after haida "forgot" how she likes her curry done. although it's a small thing, it also showed haida doesn't pay attention to the little things about her. i liked that this relationship showed rejection doesn't say anything abt u, it's just not everyone's meant for each other

I love Inui and think they could've been cute together, I saw another comment saying it's because she was "too perfect," but I have my own theory as to why Haida didn't choose her. I personally think it has more to do with the fact that Haida wasn't over Retsuko yet, so even though he did like Inui, his heart wasn't ready to fully commit to someone else yet. The whole time he's with Inui, he seems distracted and doesn't allow himself to actually get to know her. And it probably doesn't help that Inui does appear perfect lol. Inui, like anyone else, has flaws, but she never stayed long enough for them to be revealed. Anyway, I'm excited for the second season and hope that Retsuko and Haida finally get together lol

I can't help but sympathise with Haida. Having been in a similiar situation, one girl really wanted to be with me and another that I wanted to be with, really ends up with one being miserable. It's really hard trying to move on when you haven't truly done it in your own heart. Haida clearly wants to try and date others but his crush on Retsuko is too big to just go away because Inui is there. Just cause someone else wants you doesn't mean you want them, even if they're "perfect" for you. It's just not that easy

I definitely think Inui was wonderful too! But, although I wish Retsuko and Haida together, I think Haida will have to move on. Maybe, in order for the main ship R&H to occur, he might move on temporarily and Retsuko will start to catch feelings. In that case, if Haida wants to start something official, they will both do it. I can't wait for next season! They are the OTP, but Inui deserves someone who was ready to give his full attention :( Not Inui or Haida's fault, or anyone's. Feelings are feelings

Its in the little things. If someone wants to be there for you they will. thoughtfulness is not something you ask for, they have to choose it. I am glad she recognized how emotionally unavailable he was and put her foot down. Having different feelings is valid... but pretending you are into it to "spare" someones feelings and setting up their expectations... is the best way to hurt feelings. I am always in favor of the honest emotional check-in. sometimes your partner sees your feelings (or lack of) before you know what they were. talking openly & honestly is worth it. put your foot down.

i relate to this so strongly. i remember trying to fill a void in my heart with a guy friend after being rejected. deep down- i knew he liked me- but the short term gratification i felt from the magnified attention was immense (unfortunately). in truth, the guy that i truly liked wasn’t interested in a relationship, and i couldn’t for the life of me take it lightly. i’ve come to acknowledge that maybe i wasn’t ready for a relationship in the first place. i lead a friend on, and although we’re open about our screw ups now- i still feel bad. my communication skills were so shitty that i couldn’t even approach the guy that i truly liked with ease. i needed to feel as though i could bait him, but that never came to fruition. a hard lesson i’ve learned from all of this is that love isn’t easy. it cannot just “click”. planning hang outs is a hassle with schedules. discussing disagreements calmly can be difficult. friend groups may clash. core beliefs may reveal to be extremely contrasting. all of these things are immense risks, but i think i have also come to realize that taking risks are very much important in order to keep people to stay in your life. at least- the right ones. i have such a small group of best friends but- i’m fine with that. maybe one day i will meet the one i’m meant to be with, but maybe i might let him go because i didn’t realize it was too late. jk i already did that, ahah... oh to be a robot and to do everything perfectly sometimes.

In Japan, temporary staffs can’t get not so much money. In particular, the proportion of female dispatched workers is high, and women's poverty is becoming a social problem. Ms.Inui worked for this company for a limited period of time, but when the period expired, she would lose her job. So, for some Japanese women, falling in love with a regular employee while working as a temporary worker and getting married is one way to escape from some kind of poverty. That's why Inui was in a hurry to fall in love. I think that's why she was so angry that he didn't even know about her difficult situation, which would put her in jeopardy when the deadline expired.

Honestly if this shows one simple thing, is that they aren't compatible. They have similar interests and have good conversations with each other, but they don't have that deeper connection that would lead them down to being lovers. She's trying her best to be someone who Haida COULD fall in love with, but Haida just isn't interested or ready for that as of yet. The problem is neither are communicating this and this only happened AFTER certain details were discovered and learned. Communication is the backbone of ANY relationship, and it was COMPLETELY missing.

Aside from taking rejection well, what I like about Inui is how much self-respect she has. When she saw Retsuko's handkerchief, she took the hint quickly and just left Haida's apartment without any drama. She saw the sign that Haida wasn't interested in her so she just walked away from his life.

@@krin8935 na verdade eu descobri oque aconteceu,esse vídeo tem ferramenta de escolha de áudio nele, então algumas pessoas que entraram nesse vídeo simplesmente trocaram a linguagem e por isso os comentários tem inglês, japonês e espanhol.
