I literally only listen to Kaeberlein and Attia these days! It's so good to see him spreading his no nonsense good sense. I literally love how passionate he is and I share his annoyance re 'health influencer misinformation' so it's great to see him debunking.

We don't want to make longevity the only standard for taking supplements. For instance, long term NMN was shown in a 2022 study to prevent the progression of age related hearing loss in mice. If you're old and losing your hearing, that's reason enough to take it. One other thing I just found, "(Metformin) reduced the need for health care services for severe COVID-19 by 42.3% after 14 days and the risk of Long COVID by 41.3% during a 10-month follow-up." For this to work you have to take the Metromin "early on" the Covid infection. That, in effect, means, taking it all the time.

The suggestion is that to improve Healthspan, the factors for genomic instability, telomere dysfunction, epigenetic alterations, loss of proteostasis, compromise of autophagy, mitochondrial dysfunction, cellular senescence, stem cell exhaustion, altered intercellular communication and deregulated nutrient sensing should be targeted. Thanks for the awesome podcast! I'm hooked on Dr. Kaeberlein's talks, this one introduced me to his insights on Vitamin D, B12, and Omega 3. I've heard that people on very low carb diets might need less Omega 3. Would love to get Dr. Kaeberlein's thoughts on this!

I do though actually lose weight from taking Nicotinamide Riboside (300mg/ daily) around 1 kg a month, I only took it to live longer and then found that I lose weight without changing anything else , and I used to not to be able to lose weight easily: 9 kg in 7 month now

you are certainly right about doctors not measuring peoples level of vitamin D even in Denmark where we pay all health system over our tax and don´t have to pay anything going to our GP except for the medicine which is also supported economically from our state
