I don't think it's asking too much that you don't contradict the instructions printed on your packaging. Either fix the video or your printed instructions.

Doesn’t the instructions say “DO NOT coat the post or inside ring terminal with grease” and then you proceed to do what it says not to do. So what’s the real way to do it?

The last step on the pack says apply remaining grease to post and cable ends
