@@mebutinglasses9152 Killing Stalking delves deep into themes of unhealthy attachment, stockholm syndrome, abuse, trauma responses and abusive relationships. There are many graphic scenes, especially of murder and there were moments where I genuinely put my phone down because I dreaded seeing a character's reaction to something. It creates an uneasy feeling as you read it. Personally I myself am not too sensitive to the visuals and topics, but there are many disgusting themes and scenes. I wouldn't recommend it due to that, but I also just didn't like characterisation of a certain very important character in the last 15 or so chapters(?) which made it an unsatisfying experience for me.

I love Bastard so much, read it when the it was freshly translated on webtoon and i've loved it ever since, great fucking manwha. And while im happy the creators' other work, Sweet Home, got enough traction to be live action, i wish bastard got one too😭 it'd prolly not be the best visually, and probably would have different plot points/ending like what happened in the sweet home live action, but i just cant get enough of Bastard and would love to continue indulging in it 🤧

Fun fact, Omniscient Reader is not written by one person, but two! It was written by a married couple who decided to write this story one day, and I got to say, they planned out everything before the story even started. Any plotholes are filled in towards the end, and it is one of the most mind twisting, heart warming, and brilliant works of fiction I have read. Edit: Do not read the comments cause it honestly became a dumpster fire, thanks to people being quite insensitive and illiterate.

ok bro I came here to say that I instantly subbed on this video - I love your humour and I just also feel really bad for you having read Killing Stalking (though, in all fairness, it's a great psychological horror story imo if you have the stomach to sit through it) BUT the way you came for my man Ryu Kum-chel at 24:48 😭 Ares was the first Korean manhwa I ever read and I've been looking to buy it ever since, you cannot disrespect this work of art lol on another note, it might be interesting to do a video like this about Tapas - there's some amazing artists on there and yes I'm only suggesting this because I have a very specific one in mind it's called Switch by DC Kim & Jiddung and it is FUCKING GREAT - the art, the writing, the main character being a psycho because why not, the fact that some of the high schoolers look like uncle Iroh after he gets shredded in prison 11/10 recommend oh and there's also Your Wings and Mine which is the funniest and simultaneously cutest/saddest shit ever ok I'm done haha

SSS-class suicide hunter and Overgeared are definitely 2 manhwas that can't be judged by the first 5 chapters. SSS-class suicide hunter is quite emotional and it has honestly one of the best arcs in manhwa. And Overgeared is a manhwa that has one of the best character developments. It goes from a kinda annoying asshole guy to someone who would do anything for his friends and his people.

You should continue Omniscient reader's viewpoint! The arcs are constantly changing and you'll never find yourself bored because the story never stretches itself out, and as a novel reader... it never WILL stretch out. Constantly new things, character developments, and as a woman, I LOVE that the women in this series have their own legit personality and strenghts, and not just there for "haha" or looks. Where we are now currently in the manwha... does not even touch the surface of where the journey will go... It's just... insane and most novel readers will say they cried. I recommend ANYONE to read this manwha to the current chapter. You wont regret it, and read this ongoing story with us. EDIT: The art is amazing! It has only gotten better!!!

I have some GREAT recommendations for you if you ever do a part 2! (You better) As an avid reader of the historical romance subgenre of manhwa I'd like to introduce you to some of the best and most memorable ones I've read so far. (I apologize beforehand for the upcoming wall of text.) - "Roxana/The way to save the female lead's older brother" is the best out there when it comes to 'true' villainess stories. It has gorgeous art, super interesting characters and there's no other manhwa out there like this one. - "Beware the Villainess" is a hilarious take on the 'I became a villainess but I want to be good' trope, and has one of the most adorable ML (Male Leads) of all the ones I've read. - "Heaven Official's Blessing" is a must read now that you're a BL channel. The story and characters have so much depth and chemistry, and the art is simply DELICIOUS. There's a great anime adaptation in the middle of it's second season right now that I'd also strongly recommend! - "Your Throne" is not really a romance but more of a dark fantasy with mysteries, tragedy, politics and sceming. - "The Remarried Empress". The Empress leaves her trashy cheating husband and finds a better life for herself with the King of a neighboring country. What else do you need? - "Purple Hyacinth" is a crime mystery where our hero needs to team up with the villain to try and solve a case bigger than the both of them. Probably one of the greatest on it's genre. - "I Raised My Fiancé with Money" is about a filty rich girlboss who got cheated on and decides to date the duke with severe social anxiety to try and get her engagement with the cheater broken. The ML is the most precious person ever and it's really sweet so far. - "The King and Me" is another BL because why not! Here our ML gets emotionally attached to a living stone statue who saved his life, and then gets magically teleported back in time where he tries to find out the truth behind who or what the stone statue was. I could go on, but I feel like I've already written too much so I'll just leave this here and hope that you or someone else gets inpired to check any of these out. Byee

I read Blood Bank and Bastard as they were being released in 2016 (Yuri on Ice Wednesdays, Bastard Thursdays, and Blood Bank Fridays were the best weeks of high school). Both stories are incredibly intense, but have really fantastic stories. I didn’t read Sweet Home once Bastard ended, but knowing it before the live action came out made me a little happy. I think with th Overgeared and SSS class Suicide hunter the problem is fundamentally that there wasn't really enough time to get into what makes both stories special. Because with both of them the reason why they're special, especially the novels, isn't because the MC is OP but because the stories are at their core coming of age stories where you get to see the guys develop beyond their wildest dreams that goes well beyond their power and into who they are as people.

It's supposed to make you disgusted, and the most disgusting part about it is that none of it is that far-fetched. Situations like this do happen all over the world. I BEG YOU TO READ ‘NO HOME/HOMELESS’ manhwa. -The story is about a high school dude who escaped from his house living in an abandoned, rumored to be cursed house because he couldn’t get into the dorm at the time. He meets a blonde cunning and kinda wicked junior boy who stole his wallet and accidentally stabbed him before. They both harbor a great hatred towards each other, yet have to live together in one creepy dorm. They get into breakdown every now and then, they’ll fight and help each other-one righteous, quiet and strict,-once pissed gets violent-other is really foxy, malicious and untidy, if he’s enraged, he badmouths and gaslight the other, provokes a further fight. THEY ARE LITERALLY OPPOSITES, and because of that, the way the dynamic is shown in this story is something no one wants to miss out. -The characters, dialogues are super real, and the story introduces varies of characters, all have different characters and problems of their own. The story introduces many events and will never bore you-thanksgiving arc-(they both have no one to go, the arc felt super lonesome and a bit of envious feeling, and the part where the two fights with each other broke the hearts of thousands)…and bro, the ghost parts are SUPER SCARY, it still creeps me out.🗿 One escaped because others saw her mother as a crazy woman, and was annoyed by his one and only beloved parent, and ends up losing her fully. Other one escapes from his abusive and alcoholic parents, and despised them deeply. Especially his alcoholic father. Other characters too, have very realistic problems and personalities. Mostly family issues-since they’re all high schoolers. For instance, one’s mother divorces and left his children to his father, who is really neglectful-the big brother bullies and beats her up, but father threatens them both they’ll get beaten if he hears anything about quarrel, and let her do all the chores because she was a girl., SUPER WELL WRITTEN, DRAWN IN VERY ADORABLE AND SIMPLE STYLE YET THE CONTENTS ARE…violent, heartbreaking (does have comedy and stuff though) You not only get the emotion through their faces, the background colors shows the throbbing mixed feelings you cannot express clearly. All I could spot was very frustrating feelings, hatred and despair. -but this is also wholesome story too, so there are super cute wholesome panels in the manhwa. Like the blonde dude feeling warm after a single healthy conversation with the mc…his eyes shined and the backgrounds turned into soft pinkish yellow(as I remember). I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. THIS MANHWA IS REALLY SOMETHING, I LOVES IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

Frankly, five chapters is not nearly enough to judge a webtoon, not only the good ones, _but specially the bad ones_ Because once you have consumed enough, it becomes easier to see the similarities and shortcuts, that eventually lead to a so-so story The web medium as a whole, has many common lazy methods that make for a nice initial concept, but always devolve into sameness, and learning to recognize them is useful to analyze those initial concepts, and see which ones actually manage to make a proper setup to build upon, and which ones are just repeating the formula with minor aesthetic or mechanical differences Three or so generic works are enough, it becomes so obvious after that

And even though he only commited to 5 chapters per manhwa for the video he also did read past and completed a bunch of them. which is what a good history should do, make you want to binge and continue reading and those are some of the top quality materials Others are either too old and authors were yet to grown up into their own beings and takes time to commit to a story that grows with time. Like personally, TBATE is an amazing novel and good manwha but IT is very much a copy of Mushoku tensei on the first couple chapters... Same goes for the generic histories of RPG genre in manwhas. It is their version of isekai which its almost inevitable to start off as generic copy of something. And once again is hard to commit to a history like that from the beginning.

season of blossoms takes for pretty big turn after a couple episodes which is based on the feeling of spring, each season represent a different kind of mood and stories of different people that are all connected as main characters. spring was mostly just a cheesy romance but once you get into the different seasons, it gives a lot more different deeper perspectives. i don't wanna spoil it to anyone, but to anyone who is interested in stories that make you really understand a situation and the people who are involved it (and just emotional stuff), this is such a good read.

I think that the charm of "Viral Hit" can't really be captured in just the first 5 chapters. The manhwa is about a boy who stubles upon a rare oppurtunity to earn money as a youtuber who fights. For every upcoming opponent, he learns a new technique, using crazy and weird exercises, that eventually lead to the end of the fight in a very satisfying way. This is also backed up by some amazing art, which really helps bring out the fight scenes, emotions, characters, etc. I would definitely recommend ya'll to read if ya'll got time.

@markdisalvi1487 oh yeah definitely. And maybe even start reading a bit before the arc because there are a lot of tiny little details that get excluded in the webtoon and that make the characters way better, especially Yoo joonghyuk. Like in the manhwa they took out a lot of parts were he shows a little bit of another emotion that isn't angry or negative and that takes out on his character and that he is actually human. (An example would be when they are done defeating orochi and KDJ tries YJH's food in the novel when dokja says that it's actually good YJH smiles a little).

i think there is a problem with reading only the first 5 chapters and that is with stories like suicide hunter or Tbate you do not really experience the story. both seem incredibly generic but both have changed me to an incredible degree because this generic world is a medium, not the story. Tbate is about a man trying to appreciate the emotions and world he has has around him, trying to desperately claw his way into a semi normal life and always failing because he is fated to be a blood thirsty monster and not a family man. Suicide hunter is about Gongja trying not to better himself, but others. saving them from the world around them using the abilities he has to make them understand. i cried on chapter 15, and i continued to cry every other arc after because its not an isekai, its an experience. past chapter 15, there are moments that are just as good as those in Sweet home or any other manhwa. please give it another try.

honestly, I avoided SSS-Class Suicide Hunter, both the novel and manhwa, because the title, synopsis and cover gave me that that impression you talked about (though I generally do think that execution is more important than premise), but then I saw various shorts with scenes of later chapters (which is how I get most of my recommendations these days) and grew intrigued and damn I don't regret it - I think what makes it work that A) he doesn't get overpowered out of nowhere, his titular SSS-Class ability is actually quite shitty at first and only gets viable through a combination of a bit of luck in his misfortune and his ingenuity, and even later he doesn't just instantly turn into a genius fighter but has to train and gain experience, and B) I really enjoy the interpersonal aspect of it, the protagonist isn't just a cold and aloof lone wolf but actually quite a gentle soul, this manhwa has genuinely made me cry multiple times, and it has one of the most well-executed romances of any action manhwa (and even compared some romance ones)
