Since I live on the East Coast in snow country, I am glad that additional lower body skirts are not stock, though I do wish that splash guards were stock. We have to live with nearly 6 months of crap road conditions, sand and salt here in New England. Also why I didn't buy the lighter weight summer tires/wheel option.

I installed the rear under spoiler with 3M double sided tape only. It’s pretty secure. Didn’t want to drill in case other body kits come out in the future. I did it with the car on the ground. Turned the front wheels to access the screws. The hardest part was trying to put the rear fender liner back until I figured out that there was an access panel to all the 4 fasteners on the bottom. Body kit makes the car look like it’s lowered.

The TLX looks fly. Excellent job. Personally - I love the gloss look of the rear deck spoiler without carbon fiber. I do love the side skirt spoilers. And the wheelbase looks great. I dont see any need for you to change it. For the front - I would say add fog lights. This is more for safety. I am a big fan of fog lights. I find it a shame that car manufacturers are not including this on most or all cars. Thats my personal take on it, but as it is now, the car really looks fly. Enjoy your masterpiece !!!

You're comparing a 30k car to a 52k "performance" car. With a 22k difference in price, a one second difference isn't much. Dump 5k into the 2.0t accord and you'll have a car just as quick as the type-s for still, 15k+ less. Especially outside of performance the type-s missing features the accord has, which is a real shame. Type-s struggles because of its weight. Hopefully a tune really opens this car up. I was really hyped for this type-s return but it's such a let down to me. Slowest car in the segment. Brand new generation and already behind the competition.

@@drones9667 you're not wrong, but you're forgetting that it's not just 1 second faster but also benefits from a double-wishbone suspension, AWD with a torque-vectoring rear axle AND adaptive dampers, all of which add weight but significantly improve handling. They could've easily gone with a Mcpherson strut, Honda's Real Time AWD, and standard shocks if they only cared about acceleration. But there's more to performance than just drag racing, you better learn that.

@KZbin Sucks the problem I have with the IS specifically the 350 is the same with the Nissan 370z they have outdated engines but are always pushed to be sold. Although there is a new Z and IS 500 is practically the new ISF but what about the weak V6. Also it's weird that the most expensive trim has less features in the back versus it's tech trim. Yeah the IS V6 is N/A so getting more HP requires more work but they could at least up date the engine or something. Most people I've seen in the Type S get a 0-60 in the mid to late 5 secs which is okay but it's heavy in the A6/A7/S6/S7 and 5 series range that you forget it's the size of a 5 series but inside is a 3 series.

@KZbin Sucks Yes upgrading this car with a down pipe and stuff makes it faster. That's obvious when they added carbon fiber and lighter wheels it does 0-60 in 5.24 to 5.29 secs. At the same time. You tune and upgrade the others you still have a slower car. Not to mention for 54k you have less features in the back versus it's competition outside of IS

Yeah Acura needs to work with a tuner shop so all aftermarket parts can be warrantied, I plan on getting one in March & would definitely want a bigger turbo in it but if something goes wrong Acura will deny warranty.

Sorry to say this Mike but I don't like what you have done with the audio over the past couple of episodes, we hear your voice from the right channel and Jon's on the left plus there are times when Jon is working to the right of the camera but his voice is still coming from the left channel, I use headphones for YT and this is very disorienting, we had these sort of effects back in the 70's when stereo TV first came out but it's not for this day and age as the novelty of it all is long gone, please change it back Mike as IMO it's spoiling the enjoyment of a fantastic channel 🙏👍 John UK.

Wonder how come the few other 0-60 videos out there all were able to eventually achieve high 4 sec 0-60 mph runs.. maybe because fl9rida humidity or what could it be ?? Because based on other 0-60 times shoukd be able to do a 13.3 at 104 maybe.. 1/4 times are all determined based on 60ft so it must be something to do with the launch. I think 13.5 will be the average but def few lower 13sec runs should be capable

@@lrod312 ECU is pretty hard to crack they still working on it to this day, but there is a tune available for around 380 along with full bolt ons
