Great Video!!! I had bought a 1959 Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500 Skyliner in my early 20's to restore. Rebuilt the 332 ci and had the Top Mechanism rebuilt. Had to sell it when I got married due to having no place to work on it. My Skyliner was the 2 tone Inca Gold and Black combo with Power Steering, AM Radio and 3 speed Automatic Transmission. I do not recall the type of Wipers it had. Paid $1650.00 for it and sold it for $4000.00. That was 40 years ago.

I don't remember if the Galaxie models had vacuum wipers, however, my 1960 Thunderbird has vacuum wipers with only one speed. It has the "See Clear" windshield washers that were powered by the accessory drive belt when activated. I would say that Galaxie has electric wipers. There was also a 332 cu. in. FE engine that was available as well. That 361 cu. in engine came in the Edsel models as well as the police interceptor models. GREAT VIDEO!

My understanding is that the pictured Sunliner is a standard convertible, with a standard boot -- the top does not fold into the trunk. The Skyliner, I believe, was the model that was the "hardtop convertible" with the hard top that disappeared into the trunk. (The phrase, "hardtop convertible" was later adopted across many, if not most American makes, to refer to a two- or four-door without a 'B' pillar (no post between the front a back side windows, so that when all the windows were open, it gave bit of an open-air feel, similar to that of a convertible.)
