his arc is actually much better than that. remember, from the start of the episode, all he wants to do is survive. that's the plan. Survive. he survived thanos, and survived for decades or even centuries alone in a planet. after the battle of the lokis in the bunker, he calls all of them (lokis) out as forever broken and will never change. but he listens to Mobius' story, and he is given a spark of hope of being able to change. and in the end, he decides at that point that surviving isn't worth it anymore. so instead of doing what he would have done, running away from alioth to survive, he instead goes back for Sylvie and Loki. he decided to change his entire being, to stop surviving and actually do something worthwhile, a truly glorious purpose.

Although that's unlikely to happen, with Young Avengers coming to the MCU within the next few years, I figure there's a good chance Kid Loki (just as he was in the comics) may very well be a part of that team. Here's hoping Alligator Loki is along for the ride too. ;)

The frog in the jar is called Throg, a frog version of Thor. The helicopter with Thanos' name written on it is a refe to Thanoscopter, an obscure thing from Spidey Super Stories, a 70's comic series meant for little children. In it, Thanos had a the exact same helicopter.

@@panzrok8701 In the comics, alternate reality counterparts of characters aren't called "variants" because they're just as real as any other counterpart. For example, Earth-616 Peter Parker is just as legit as Earth-1610's Peter Parker. In the MCU, the "variant" labeling thing is just one of many lies of the TVA, all Lokis in the show are just as real as the "original" Loki who died in Infinity War. It's an answer to a question you didn't ask and something you already know, but I just had the urge to point this out lol

@@richardbarroman1824 I did read a bit about and it seems there is a difference between alternate timelines/universes and parallel universes in the mcu. Alternate timelines are like a tree, all timelines expand from one root and parallel universes are like a forest with many trees or timelines in it. The TVA is in charge of the tree but not the forest. So variants are all branches of one tree but there are also other trees/universes.

Sylvie is easily the most compelling Marvel character to come along since Loki himself. She's complex and strong, and yet vulnerable and sad. Their dynamic on the show is amazing, and I REALLY hope Sylvie has a future in the MCU. It would be an absolute waste to kill her off.

Just a thought, but maybe the reason why their connection caused such a nexus event was because when they join hands, their power is immense. Sort of like two halves of the same soul finally being reunited. Hmmm...reminds me of a certain pair of characters from Star Wars. ;-)

The Thanos copter is from the old comics/cartoons in the 70s. The mini Thor is Throg. When Loki turned Thor into a frog. That judge is the girlfriend of Kang the Conqueror. I like how when the original comics Loki raises Asguard they play "Ride of the Valkeries"

Well OG Classic Loki did charge his illusion powers with his hands one last time as he screamed Glorious Purpose. And though Alioth consumed all of everyone else it consumed, Classic Loki's helmet wasn't consumed? Remember he created a construct of himself that fooled even Thanos. I think the helmet drop was the writers leaving it open that Classic Loki may have done his trickery again, so if they want he can potentially show up for future MCU movies or Loki Season 2...

It's the THANOS-COPTER from the comics. First used in Spidey Super Stories #39 in 1979. He used it to attack Hellcat while trying to obtain her Cosmic Cube. He also used it in Deadpool Vol 5 #45 after he'd hired Deadpool to steal a Cosmic Cube for him. Thanos was always obsessed with getting the cosmic cubes. Much like with the Infinity Stones. The Thor in a jar is Throg a Thor that Loki changed into a frog & never changed back.

Theory: At the the end of the season Loki will go to a new timeline and dub it "The Ultimate Timeline" and himself "Ultimate Loki." Then Marvel could have two separate universes of stories running at the same time, just like the Ultimate Universe from the comics. They could also have Miles Morales become Ultimate Universe Spiderman without having to kill off Tom Holland's Peter Parker.

THANK YOU! I love what you said about their relationship. I've commented (more ranted) on a lot of other reaction channels about how tired I am of people talking against it and using words like gross and incestuous and I have said exactly what you were saying. Compared to things he has done in norse mythology this would be the most normal of his relationships. They may be versions of the same "being", but their different experiences in life have shaped them into thier own unique person, but they have enough basic similarities in their past to form a common and quick bond. I've been shipping them since the train on Lamentis - 1 and will debate anyone who thinks otherwise on this subject. I don't get the Old or Classic Loki, said that he *SURVIVED* getting Killed by Thanos, but in episode 1 Mobius said that Loki was ALWAYS MEANT to be Killed by Thanos, because that is how Time was Supposed to go, so why would the TVA *NOT* take this Loki when he Survived, If infact that WAS Against how Loki' s life was supposed be ?
