It ticked all my boxes, as well. I've always wanted to live in a house where the rooms were on different levels and that upstairs apartment was IT! I'm almost feeling physical pain on not being able to purchase this as I need to sell our land in Belize to afford it. This home was the one to convince my husband that Italy is better for us. I'm not comfortable with spending my golden years on a piece of property one can only get to with a boat. Neither of us has experience with boats other than renting a pontoon boat at the lake for a day.

Hi all! Popoli is lovely, no doubt. Some considerations to think about: do you have an EU passport? If not, you can only stay in the EU 90 days at a time (with a break of 90 days before you can return). (I’m looking at you, Brexiters, Americans & Canadians, unless you have a spouse w/ an EU passport.) Also, you cannot buy a car unless you have EU citizenship (or Italian citizenship).

This one is really fun - I love the all the different levels as I sit here as a middle aged person. I can see issues with those fun levels as an older person. Elevator somewhere, maybe? My eyes are younger than my body, I fear. The seventies really weren't great for "interior decorating"! LOL Very impressed that you have a torch now - AND that you brought it with! Good job to Tony-the-Torchman (and we'd have understood if you'd said a bad word when you hit your head!!) The star-barrel ceilings in the garage are ...stunning! Does Popoli get flooded with tourists in the "on" season?

The best floor plans and deal I have seen of your videos so far. The only negative is lack of view from any window. Street scene seems a bit claustrophobic even from the terrace, but otherwise quite livable. Vert nice ceilings. Where do you park? You don't need to talk all the time. @@angelomasciantonio Thanks. 👍 It's always good to get a feel for the market. To include why so many Italians are not buying these properties. To even, what would be the average prices Italians would pay. 🤔 If it would be less, the same, or more? It's wonderful to know Italy, is inviting us foreigners to become part of their community. Rebuilding these charming villages and saving them from disappearing into history. 🌞🥰 🇮🇹

We list properties in a completely different way yo anyone else. Together with our agents we get the best price possible from the owners as we can confidently give them a quick sale, we add in all the fees and taxes and that is the price. Everyone know where they are. I personally do not like it when something is listed for 100 yet you are encouraged to offer at 70, why not just put 70 in the first place and sell it quickly!

@@AhomeinItaly Thanks for this type of clarification. My main reason for asking is I've seen just the opposite when I lived in Mexico. I've also seen it in Portugal to an extreme state. I also understand negotiations are a part of many countries' culture around the world. 🌎
@samsmom1491

@@livingworkingoutsidebox This is common in some countries and even differs from city to city if the market is hot. Some places get multiple offers far over the asking price. Italy seems to be different, which I honestly prefer. These homes are already a bargain, so why quibble and risk insulting a person.

@@DannyP... Hi, Danny. Your Sam lived long life and they are BIG boys! So sorry for your loss. I can tell you still miss him. They never leave our hearts, do they? Sam is a mixed breed Boxer/American Staffie and is 4. We adopted him at 5 months old and later found out he'd been removed from the first home for abuse and in the second home, he bit a young child and someone in that home beat him before bringing him to the shelter. He still flinches when his shoulders are touched. We also just found out he has cataracts in both eyes due to a sudden onset of glaucoma. We'll be starting him on eye meds soon. He will lay beside my desk while I'm working on projects, then insist on a game of 'keep away'. I am trying to make a move to Italy happen in the next four years, if not sooner. The atmosphere in the US gets more toxic each year. We want out and can't afford to retire here even if we wanted to. Cheers & Ciao! Thanks for commenting.
