Yes! Ultimately it's an educational video. Most of us have at least some vague sense that there are risks involved in all the AI stuff, but don't really understand it beyond the disaster-movie versions of AI taking over the world and deciding to wipe out their human creators. Ryan leads with the familiar friendly comedy so you watch, but builds in and up to the serious aspects, still wrapped in a gentle comedy swaddling. Even if you didn't quite follow the acquisitions and regulations bit...you sure caught the "Ryan was potentially put in genuine danger from this" part. Use of someone's voice without their consent was certainly was made a lot more concrete. This video is brilliant.

The most annoying part about AI chatbots for me is that the way they think people carry a conversation is by constantly asking questions so the conversations are always horribly one-sided because they can't come up with any conversation topics without a prompt.
@hi_pd2 ай бұрын
There are many models, like ChatGPT 4-O, Gemini, and many other, you can instruct them at the beginning of the conversation to always continue the conversation by asking a question at the end. Then you answer, ask a question; it answers, and will ask a question..., as long as you can keep it or you exhaust your daily tokens.
@davidthedeaf2 ай бұрын
@@hi_pdthat is the point, they need questions answered. In reality, people may just say “Hey, let’s go get pizza, I forgot I had this coupon!” or “I got some sad news. Gramma just called and she has only 5 months to live.” People make statements or demands without a question prompt, and it may start a long or short conversation, or it may not.
@hi_pd2 ай бұрын
@@davidthedeaf Ok, my dude. Please paste this statement on your chatgpt: Would you be able to organically hold a conversation with me? I would tell you something, you tell me something and we keep the conversation going. Can you do that? Try it. The conversation goes pretty well. Besides, why would you expect a human level interaction, when you consciously chose to interact with a AI? For a AI model, it holds the conversation pretty well. Try it.

It’s a weird place AI will take scams. That’s a good point. Depending how good the technology gets, I’m sure fraud will get near impossible to deal with.

Every company that pawns you off on a chat bot should be charged with fraud. They are forcing you to go through hurdles to do basic things like canceling. When those ceos are in jail i will dance.

Thanks for taking on these clowns. Many musicians and entertainers I know have succumbed to this urge to farm out their writing tasks to AI, and the results are uniformly horrid. Now, every response or blurb or interaction with some semi-famous person I used to know - now reads like a Hallmark card or bad advertising blurb. And over the last few months, the results are not improving. Rather, users are just learning to accept that people they look up to now talk like soap commercials.

It's clever that he used signs to give the correct answer. He knows the current main way for AI companies to acquire information is to transcribe audio or read already present subtitles.
@catbatrat1760Ай бұрын
Wait, is that why? I thought it was just to avoid clunkiness and/or because some people would be curious.
@JSu-hereАй бұрын
@@catbatrat1760 It's the format that The Newlywed Game that he referenced used -- answers were written down so the other half of the couple could not see them and "cheat," since the aim was for husband and wife to both answer the question with the same answer. I doubt it's about undermining AI ability to acquire the info, since he's referenced being married and expecting then having a child many times in other videos, and most basic info like date of birth isn't that hard to find in public (online) records. But who knows! It's an interesting idea.
