So good! Very simple and straightforward compared to what they are doing these days, but their older sound will always have a special place in my head. Love this older banger so much, the intro, the main riff, the bass notes, the deep low growls, the clean section, the reggae/ska outro...everything! And that performance is gold. True what you said, very hard to pull those vocal lines, switching between both growl and clean while jumping around and on top of that still deliver that soulful Amy Whinehouse outro at the end. Glad you liked it, good and entertaining reaction, and your smile helps to put it all together :) Try "Retrospection" official and for more live greatness, "On The Top" live in Kiev is great!
@Aussie-3 жыл бұрын
There perfect sound has a lot to do with years and years of live performing even before anyone outside of Ukraine ever knew them. Tatiana and Eugene have said they played many times to crowds of just 10-15 people just so they can keep improving live. Listen to Retrospection (Official Video) its powerful and personal like Homeback, its also Eugene (bassist) fav song from Macro. Also try listen to one of there first songs Scissors (2012) and see its no surprise there future was destined for greatness.

Those screams are so epic, as are the deep growls, and omg that clean section at the end. And there are so many bootlegs of this and they are actually all different. This (aka live at Atlas for the non video version) is the definite recording, IMO. Live at Melbourne hase Eugene's bass too low in the mix so the awesome dueling between his bass and Roman's guitar doesn't work.
@j.f.fisher53183 жыл бұрын
For a next reaction I'd suggest Cloud Factory official live (the most popular version,though personally I like the official video a bit better overall, but the live has Vlad drumming which is awesome), Outlander uploaded by "Failure .Color" which is the most popular video for that song (live video with studio sound), and Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest. Those are all off the second record with Tatiana doing all vocals called Cloud Factory, while the first record with Tati up fron is also great called Inhale Do Not Breathe, with Scissors official, the live video of Exposed As A Liar either official or the live version titled "Croud Factory DVD Trailer" with a few short interview clips added in being best loved. Cheers!

I have to agree on your comment on "Alive in Melbourne". It's a good recording, but Eugene's tracks do get buried a bit, thus missing out on the back and forth with Roman. I have to ask though, to me with these last two releases it seems Roman is stepping forward a bit more. I've always been impressed with his guitar work, but to me it seems he has a few more moments to really shine on Vortex and Mediator. Curious to hear what a seasoned fan like yourself has to say. Edit; Just had to add, the duel between guitar and bass is a major reason I love this version of Who is Gonna Be the One. Though the original version with the 5 member band is great, in my opinion, Eugene and Roman's rework for the 4 member version is better.
@j.f.fisher53183 жыл бұрын
@@eqgilethan it is a good question. Eugene says Roman did most of the composing before Wallflowers, where 9 of 11 songs were primarily composed by Vlad. So it may be that Roman was underselling himself a bit, while Vlad may do a better job of putting his skills on display. Also, I've felt that Roman has been burning out on thier crazy tour schedule and is doing better since getting a break during lockdown.

I love your reactions. I have suggestions for videos if you are interested. Rammstein - Seemann (especially the live version from 1996) it's a very different sound from Rammstein. Very melodic and more quite with a more high pitched Till. Afterwards the amazing Cover of that song by Apocalyptica feat the queen of German Punk Nina Hagen. It's a very different sound and introduces you to one of the most outstanding voices and personalities this country has produced and last but definitely not least Nina Hagen - Naturträne. It's a live performance from the 80s that is going to blow your mind, especially after listening to her on Seemann. I really think you would thoroughly enjoy these three songs.
