i think it happens because this goku is post ultra istinct, while vegeta learned some jiren's patterns. I don't think it's about zenkais considering that after namek, no one had any of them.

@@francescocalce6208 Well actually Zenkai's are still definitely a thing. This is made even more clearer in the manga(in the semi recent manga chapters at least). While it is true that those did help and with Vegeta that was the main reason with Goku the zenkai's really helped. P.S Personally I feel like the reason they don't abuse it anymore is because of their pride(the real reason is plot but this is for the in universe reason).

actually vegeta does get the evolution form in the manga its just not visually different than any of the other super saiyan blue forms in the non colored outside of its aura. In the manga both vegeta and goku go through different stages of ssb, intial ssb, advanced ssb, mastered ssb, and perfected ssb however vegeta unlocks evolved ssb while goku doesnt and has no ssb kaioken making vegeta stronger until goku can control ui. also each variation of ssb has its own visually distinct aura to tell the forms apart which I think it really neat
