I have a Police Magnum 870 with the Ohio State Patrol logo engraving on the receiver and the badge on the bottom of the grip. Rifle sights, 16", extended tube, it's awesome! OSP brought them into Columbus Vance's literally piled into shopping carts. $250 each back then! Mine's perfect!

My 870 Police Magnum is blued too. Has a chrome bright bolt too. Wood stock. Had it for 17 years. Use it for a knock down drag out vehicle and home defense gun. Got a magazine extension for it too. Demo’ed it recently on my chnl. Great review here!

The main difference in the Wingmaster and other 870's and the Police Magnum is that the Police Magnum has a steel trigger assembly and all the (current) others are plastic.

I think I missed the boat. Been thinking about picking up a 870 Police magnum with the rifle sights and extended tube and Atlantic Firearms just sold out and I'm assuming AIMS been sold out for a bit. AF wanted $600 for theirs. I'm hearing that's too much from people.

I picked up a 870dm that took detachable magazines a couple of years ago- it was awful and had horrible fit and finish all around- the detachable magazine was so bad you could bend the metal around the feeding area with a finger. I don’t think they make those anymore. I was not impressed with Remington after that experience and soon traded it on a mossburg 500 which is much better constructed. I have heard that older Remington shotguns are quality but I have only had the sample size of one to judge the company

I worked for an agency that provided these in the cars. We could bring our own rifles. The rifle needed to be put in the rack beginning of shift, and then taken out end of shift. PITA. Also, the regs were: must be black, must be 16", must have either/or a 1x electronic sight, or, irons, must be a reputable factory brand in original configuration. So, I didn't bother. I asked to put a Magpul stock on it, a velcro side saddle, sling, light, and big dot bead with my own money. The answer was "no" However, I did get Federal Flight Control ammo approved. One day my task was to go get one of the old crown vics out of the garage and make it ready for parades and funeral escorts. It had another 870 in it, and the barrel was stuffed full of candy wrappers and cigarette butt's. That unit had been sitting there since 2001, occasionally moved and used for errands, and this was 2016 when I got the car ready.

That shotgun is worth at best 200.00 you can get a top of line mossberg for 600.00. These wholesalers are making alot of money,I doubt they are getting much more than 100 bucks a piece.

@kennardjohnson7875 misinformation on both of your points. Mossbergs top of the line shotguns are well into 1k....and top for the line is a stretch. Don’t waste your money for what they are asking, plus aim is know for rating surplus in better condition than they are. 399 used when you can buy new for 100 dollars more with a warranty 😂😂😂😂. It’s smooth because every time the officer brings it back in the police station at the end of the shift he cycles the action a dozen times, every day, for the last ten years😂😂😂😂 at 250 it would be a deal at 399 I wouldn’t waste your money literally for 480 you can get a Remington 870 tactical new with a warranty.
@TheMilsurpManАй бұрын
@justlookingaround you can not get a police magnum for 480..new 870s are of the absolute worst quality.. you can clearly see the action bars do not have any high wear on them. It's smooth because vintage remingtons were made with quality. Everything you've stated is just ignorant. Of course, you'd need a warranty of a gun of junk quality when you constantly have to send it to the factory... Even high points have a lifetime warranty 😂🤷🏻♂️ you obviously lack knowledge and understanding of firearms.

@NOOBKIAtv I'm afraid you're incorrect, sir. To my knowledge police magnums are in very, very limited production if not completely discontinued. They were at a price at 800. Older Remington products are of the highest quality, unlike the newer ones. You may can pick up an express for that now, but it's definitely not a police magnum. There's a big quality difference.
