I bought one of these, and love it. It came with a retro handguard with a SureFire Incandescent tactical light built in. Also, has an inventory number '28' stenciled on the right hand side of the receiver. The internals are flawless and it fires like a new rifle. I find it interesting that one of yours has a plum colored lower.

Haven’t purchased from AIM for some years due to my age and living in Kalifornia. Have purchased a number of firearms over the years and have always been satisfied with the results. They had an option at one time where you could pay a little extra and they would have a staff select one for you. Purchased a Hiighpower Israeli trade in and Glock 19 and 17 police trade ins that were in excellent shape, the 17 was like new.

Thanks for sharing this awesome article with us. I'd love to pick up one of those Colts AR's. I can't explain it but, there's just something about owning a firearm made by the original manufacturer. I don't mind a little bit of character showing on a used firearm. No Sir.

I double checked the cold A3 HR tactical carbine, are chrome lined barrels, unless it was a special order or some of the civilian versions came with non-chrome barrels. The tactical did take a close look. I did on both of mine.

Being a Police Armorer and working on these rifles, I guarantee you it came with the FA bolt carrier. Especially since it’s LE marked. What happened was someone had an old civilian Colt AR15 and swapped out that carrier when they were being turned in. I goddam guarantee it. Ask me how I know.

If they are like my local Sheriff's department, they shoot about 40 rounds, once a year, to qualify. They don't clean their guns. Their Smith & Wesson M4s and Maverick 88 shotguns stay in the car all year. Hauled out to shoot qual. Then put back in the car. Once every few years, a few of the deputies will drop off their Glocks, M4s & Mavericks for me to clean and inspect. A little surface rust is normal. The shotguns seems to get the worst of it with wear and neglect. Up front in the car in a rack mount. The rifles are kept in the back or trunk in a gun case.

I've got a 6721, or more accurately a parts kit I assembled onto a pre-ban receiver. Production date is July 1995. It doesn't have a bayonet lug. Barrel is essentially the same, but the upper and barrel are parkerized and the handguards are the older single heat shield type. Bolt carrier is the same semi-auto type that you have there. Bore looks chrome lined to me. Are you sure yours isn't?
@TheMilsurpMan26 күн бұрын
@steven-k. yes, the 6721 Colt HBAR 1/9 twist barrels are none chrome lined.

How goes it, Milsurp Man? Those are certainly two nice Colt rifles. I see that artechtipsunder5minutes has already found your buy and commented. He is a Colt expert, the most knowledgeable man I've seen on any firearm related platform, I've learned a lot about not only AR's but armorer's tools as well, such as the good, the bad, and the ugly! LOL! I just wanted to ask if you're familiar with Amchar Georgia Gun Range and Store? The owner's name is Sam, he advertises probably monthly on U-Tube and has used rifles at times, sometimes they're LEO trade-ins also. Recently he had a few Colt A2 carbines for $699, which I thought was a reasonable price. He also still has two Bushmaster A2 carbines left last week, they're $499. His place is in McDonough, Ga., and I think that's where ar15techtipsunder5minutes lives. I've been wanting to ask him if that's where he's from. The congressman from my district here in Ga. also has a gun store in Mcdonough, Clyde's Armory, Andrew Clyde is the owner. I read somewhere that Andrew Clyde sold the first Colt LE6920 rifle that was sold in the United States! How is your H & R M16A1 lower paired with your Del-Ton upper doing? I'd love to see it. Maybe on an upcoming video you could just have it laying there and point to it and perhaps fire off a round or three! Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!

@@TheMilsurpMan Heck, I love Colt rifles also, I watched your videos of your M4A1 Colt and your Colt M4 that I think you said you'd had for a long time, your Colt Cr6920 Magpul Slim Line that I believe you traded or sold or at least got rid of. I think you also got a Colt AR15 A4. Then I saw your FN M4A1 when you compared it to your Colt & were a bit disappointed that FN engraved BURST instead of the correct AUTO in denoting the different settings of the selector switch that an M4A1 actually has. I also saw when you showed that little nick on the left side of the Colt M4A1, where the upper receiver meets the lower receiver, and the anodizing is missing showing a small silver spot. You said you wouldn't gripe about it, just live with it because a rifle was only a tool which would get beat up a little during use. I'm afraid I'd have sent it back because I'm sure it was $1400 or close. Reckon a Birchwood-Casey Gun Black marker would cover it? I just ordered me one from Brownells for $5.99, although I don't need it just yet! LOL! Dang, I've rambled on and on! Sorry. Yes sir, I'd like to see any videos you post on firearms, I saw your Garand, too. Retros are my favorite rifles, though. I was glad to see the final tally in Kentucky last night! An historic victory for freedom, imo. Have a good rest of the week and thanks for the reply and videos!
