Thank you so much for getting Ain't It Fun to 1 million!! The support I receive from you guys is crazy and I seriously can't thank you all enough. You guys voted, so I decided I'd explain the PMV and answer some questions about it! I hope this allows you guys to see the PMV in a new light!
As for the rant, this is something about Omen of the Stars and the relationship between Ivypool and Dovewing that has been bugging me since the second I read Night Whispers. I think that their little rivalry was super underdeveloped and shallow and could have been so much more intense had the authors explored some different options, which is why I decided to share my opinion on the topic!

Ivypool did need to become a Dark Forest warrior because if not she wouldn't of heard their plans until it was too late, and it would of drastically changed the Arc.

It would've made the series so much more serious if Ivypaw had learned about the prophecy and told the Dark Forest about it, including which cats had what powers. I love the idea of Ivypaw/pool being a true Dark Forest Warrior, and only at the end realizing all the mistakes she has made.

Oh my gosh yessss, that could have made things SO much more intense! And I think that the whole Jay and Breeze fight at the Moonpool happened before OOTS, but like??? It would have given Brokenstar I think it was an actual valid reason to be there and to encourage Breeze to try and kill them

I can definitely relate to Ivypool's feelings towards Dovewing. As someone who has a learning disability and who has a sister who is naturally good at most thing's, it would become so frustrating with how she could manage to do anything and do it well without even trying. Meanwhile, when I tried I could barely get a pass, was only really good at one thing and struggled with a language I grew up with. It's childish, but the resentment and jealousy builds quickly, especially when things seem to be changing quickly.

And one thing I’ve noticed, is in the books it says that the living cats who train in the dark forest whilst sleeping still receive wounds in the real world. And, the training has been happening for a very long time. Yet no cat NOT in the dark forest has witnessed a wound being inflicted on a cat whilst the cat was sleeping. Surely some cat would have noticed their denmate moving around in their sleep, and they would have watched them, or just looked over. Wouldn’t they seen then a wound being inflicted, without anyone around to do so? Wouldn’t this arouse suspicion? Why didn’t the Erin’s put this in, as it would surely make the ‘secret training in the dark forest’ less secret and it would add a whole new element of interest to the arc. Anyone agree?

I especially liked this speedpaint and rant because you view OoTS from a different point of view. I was half-expecting you to start ranting on how 'horrible' Dovewing is or something, so I was especially amazed when you started talking on how being a Dark Forest spy does not make Ivypool special, and your ending for the last half of OoTS would have been a LOT more fitting. Your advice on PMVs was actually very helpful as I'm working on right now, and I loved to hear about Ain't It Fun! You drew all scenes very well.

I think Ivypool letting go of her jealousy when she finds out Dovewing had powers was a good call. Before it was two ordinary warriors one of which happened to be better at tasks than the other. They were on the same playing field which made Ivypool pissed that she just couldn't keep up despite being on the same ground. However, when Ivypool learns that Dovewing's abilities aren't natural, that they aren't really even in the same game, and that there is a REASON why they aren't even, she lets it go realizing she doesn't have to match Dovewing. Dovewing ISN'T an ordinary warrior so Ivypool shouldn't hold herself to the same standards set for Dovewing. In reality, Ivypool is just as good if not better than most ORDINARY Thunderclan warriors and that's really all she ever wanted. If she kept up her jealousy the way it was going at that point it would have been pointless at best and annoying at worst.

An idea I heard (I think from TenelleFlowers but don't yell at me if I'm wrong) was that IVYPAW was given to LIONBLAZE, and DOVEPAW the CINDERHEART, so Ivypaw could be jealous that her mentor was spending more time with her sister than her, increasing their rivalry.

tbh Omen of the Stars was an extreme let down. They could've made it so much more powerful and emotional. They portrayed Bluestars insanity and old age taking over her mind WONDERFULLY. I wish they could have done something similar with Ivypools growing rage and jealousy :L Edit: WHAT SENPAI NOTICED ME??? FHUYEBUYVRYW And also, I feel like they should've made Ivypool want nothing to do with the prophecy. She would've been angry at the thing that robbed her of her sister since that's what truly fits her personality. Then, she would agree to fight with thunderclan, not because of the prophecy, but because she would fight with her clan to the death. Maybe out of spite she would try to stop visiting the Dark Forest, but end up being forced back there and to train. Idk, but they shouldn't have added the "spy" thing in my opinion. :/ Edit: Everyone who's defending me, thanks

I definitely agree with this- Like it was such an interesting concept yet it was poorly written. and I think it would be a very good idea that when Dovewing confessed she WOULD get angry, and completely turn to the dark forest. and like you said, maybe then she becomes unstable for whatever reason and starts seeing the horrors then she starts to turn on them.

honestly I really wish Ivypool should’ve gotten even more resentful after learning of the prophecy. I wish she DID fight for the dark forest honestly bc one she would make an amazing bitter villain who’s actually powerful and grew up feeling the feelings that inspired her. plus I adore breezepelt so any cat similar to him is a fav of mine as well. I love breezepelts emotion arc and whole family drama and I think he’s the best character. I do love ivypool cuz she’s strong and was enjoying being in the dark forest for a while but when she got all defensive for her clan I just didn’t see any reason why she would care tbh. eh well we can’t change it but hopefully the erin’s develop better character conflicts in the future

That's another reason why Ivypool's story would have been so much more entertaining had it been a bit more like Breezepelt's! Though I don't think Ivypool should have been a full on villain it'd be amazing to actually see stuff from more of a bad character's perspective.

Crowfeather was obviously a broken man, and he did stupid things just to cope with his emotions. I love characters that are not really villains, but have a bad effect on certain characters.

I just love how you drew Ivypool so herione and brave like her character. But honestly Dovewing is the worst sister ever, she almost didn't help Ivypool and didn't really tried to help her up until the end. To be honest, Dovewing got the powers and most of the time she only used them for her own and not for the sake on the clan, while Ivypool atleast tried to do it for her clan even tough her ideas didn't come up so great as she thought... I think it would have been cool if they had the dark forest cats starting out as fading and transparent, as described in the books, but as they recruited more cats from the living world, they became more solid. It is explained that they are fading because people are forgetting them, so by that theory, as more cats meet them and become aware of their existence, they should become more solid. It would have also worked to symbolize the growing threat and their growing powers.

Unpopular Opinion: Dovewing doesn't deserve all the hate she gets. Ngl I wish they went deeper into the 'golden child who hates being on a pedestal' route. I think Dove being a take on what people like celebrities go through where they are expected to be perfect and flawless 24/7 and dealing with the pressures of upholding those standards would've been amazing

I think that Ivypool didn’t care that Dovewing was part of the prophecy because she never even liked the idea. I’m not rly sure, it’s kinda confusing. But I love Ivypool wayyy more than Dovewing. Say what you will about Ivypool, but she is one of my favorite characters. I like her rivalry with Dovewing, even if it has its flaws. Warriors is far from perfect, but we can enjoy the semi-good characters we get once and a while. I may add on to this later...

I really love your interpretation of dovewing, although I’ve always pictured ivypool as more of a lean and tall cat, sure she’s strong and muscular, but I’ve always considered the two sisters to be opposites, shape wise and personality wise. I’ve pictured ivypool as lean and tall, as well as kinda thin but also muscular, with sleek fur and angled face features. Then dovewing, I’ve always pictured her as short and kind of stocky, with fluffy fur, large ears, and softer facial features. I’m just offering some constructive criticism, so please don’t be offended, I am really impressed by your artwork and your style. Anyway, luv your vids! P.S. I loved the pmv you made for these two, keep up the good work!

honestly- Ain't It Fun is my favorite map, Everything Moves follows close behind- I never noticed you made the map until i watched one of your videos and I was like "wait this is the same style as Ain't It Fun" And now I draw warrior cats more often and enjoy watching your videos. Secondly, Ivypool never hated her sister. She disagreed the fact Dovewing sought out Tigerheart and she was jealous of her at some point for simply getting attention. All Dovewing did was fall in love with the wrong cat. Truth is, they're both bad sisters to each other. But they are both good characters. If you want me to show evidence, then ask. Don't go hating on anyone that even slightly dislikes Ivypool. It's called an opinion.

A nap idea I had was to make it about Thistleclaw and Snowfur with the song “Thousand Years” and it’s Snowfur singing it to Thistleclaw, her sister Bluestar, and her son, Whitestorm when she had passed on. She saw what Thistleclaw was doing, and thought that he could change, which is where the part “I’ll love you for a thousand years, I’ll love you for a thousand more” comes into play. Snowfur believes Thistleclaw can change, but he doesn’t.

I really like the idea of Ivypool being a loyal dark forest warrior because in the future series, she could’ve been the one manipulating cats into joining the dark forest and kind of being like the new Hawkfrost. This would make me love the series so much more because when I read Ivypaw training in the dark forest I was thinking “Yes a new potential female villain!” This is only my opinion tho so please don’t come attacking me

I have to admit, as much as their sibling rivalry/jealousy wasn't handled the best, it reminds me of my own life experiences in 2015 - where my older brother was the perfect child and I got belittled for not being like him, so I can infact see why Ivy did what she did because I once felt the same. Well, with the only exception being that I now don't know how to talk to him because I feel so awkward :')

imo ivypaw reacting with jealousy, while not appropriate or acceptable, is still very excusable. from what i remember, they were extremely close when they were little, and it was hard for her to wrap her head around dovepaw suddenly being more important than her and “moving on” from their close bond, especially when she didn’t know the reasoning. (keep in mind they were apprentices and they would be about 12-14 as a human, so she can’t be expected to react to this maturely or rationally) she thought dovepaw was ignoring her to be in the center of attention, and she reacted with envy, and to me this wasn’t because she wanted to be the cat in the spotlight instead of dovepaw, but because she thought that dovepaw being there meant she didn’t want to be close with her anymore and that hurt her. and then she was manipulated by hawkfrost into thinking she was truly valued, which wasn’t good when she was currently thinking. tl;dr ivypaw was just a dumb teenager who was manipulated by her dumb jealously instead of being able to grow out of it as she grew up and many teenagers in her situation would react the same even if it wasn’t good

Ivy pool didn't kill antpelt. I recently read that part. They were actually fighting too light and I think Dark strip or another DF cat goes up to thrash Antpelt around cause Antpelt lost. I can't believe no one noticed this-

Sensational Sorreltail Ivypool just killed Antpelt’s spirit. Antpelt (living) was killed by the wounds inflicted to him by Thistleclaw (specifically the back and throat) for showing Ivypool sympathy during a training session, and he took that as him being a coward.

I have a Evil Dovewing AU where Dovewing is mad at Ivypool for ignoring her and being jealous of her and she gets recruited into the Dark Forest. She then uses her powers to spy on StarClan for the Dark Forest and act double agent for the Dark Forest, telling them what the prophecy cats are doing along with the rest of the Clans. She could also lie about when the Dark Forest would attack and fight for them, never realising they were truly bad. The Dark forest succeeds because of it.
