He said about $2,500 just for the equipment. If you add the frame, equipment, diamond plating, and labor that's an easy 8-10k build plus the van. It is a lot of work to build build one these set-ups. I know because it took me 3 months to build my van. Another amazing build from H20.

Bro H2O in Covina rips people off like crazy. They charge 3-6k just for building the frames, with 3k being an extremely basic frame and 6k being more what you see here. For anyone who knows how to weld, you’d know that building these frames takes maybe a half a day to a day max depending how fast you work.

they could've gotten similar equipment for half the price or less. You can tell by the way he was looking that, he's not close to making back what he invested.

my advice to people getting into this industry is don't jump in right away. If you got a regular job, buy everything bit by bit. When you have everything, book clients on your days off and due family and friends vehicles for free. So by the time you're ready to jump in full time, you won't have to charge crack head prices and you can command top dollar. SO far this year, i've purchased equipment, but I don't plan on quitting my job and going full time until sometime in 2024. Yeah, that's like a year away, but when I do it, everything will be paid for, and I will also have a years worth of expenses saved until my revenue starts to increase. there is no specific way to start a business. some will say just do it. but as long as you have a plan and specific goals, it doesn't matter.

Same here bro. I did the math on the potential this business has if i build it bit by bit. That being said if I have years and years worth of experience I would jumpright in. But at that point you'd have a bunch of connections so you'd be able to anyway. So yea I agree. Right now I'm getting the basics and mainly networking like crazy. Before long, I'll have to make that decision between booking clients and working for someone else. Lets get it, so many dirty cars out there need to be cleaned and people to make happy.

The only problem is the rigid shop vac isn’t enough power to pull 50 ft of hose and have good suction

If you could get a smaller water tank and get like a 75 gallon tank would you still be able to get all your jobs job, even if it's a busy day? I want to get my own van and set up too but want to save space if I can. Thank you for this video!
@ad7711x Жыл бұрын
A lot of detailers waste water and time. U don’t need snow foam. You don’t need two buckets of water. The only time you need to release a lot of water with a pressure washer is if it’s caked on mud/dirt on the tires and wheel well. Or if you’re washing large vehicles or tractor trailers. You can offer discounts on details if clients let u use their water as well. You don’t need a 100 or 200 gallon tank.

In Holland we are not allowed to wash off our car unless the water is caught in special containers. it will ruin the environment with all those chemicals.
@nathane22433 жыл бұрын
Good setup. Too many chemicals, which is such a waste of money. I see a lot of detailers promoting H2O who is a ripoff
@JPchecks2 жыл бұрын
you’re not paying just for the chemicals. I would kill to have a shop with as much history, experience and that many services to offer in My city. Gonna have to work my own build.
