Excellent review giving honest details on how it performs. My pool is kidney shaped, so wondering how it would work in that. It got the best/highest review in this months Choice Magazine which got me interested in buying one.

Thank you John, appreciate the positive vibes. Not sure about the kidney shape, other than to say it's been noticeably improving with each firmware update. So, if it hasn't already, I suspect it will adapt with time. Definitely a good machine, especially if you can get one of the good sale prices.

Please explain how the 3um screen filter works. In my unit there is a 1 inch gap around each side of the screen filter so won't water and debris preferentially go around the filter into each of the pumps and exhaust out the top?

I can only guess given I didn't make it, but the water is redirected through it after going through the bigger basket. I actually find the big basket does a great job in the first place picking up smaller particles like sand. I think the 3um seems to be more about near microscopic stuff like dead algae spores.

Looks like you answered your own question. I'm hearing that Aiper is out of stock in general in Australia, with more units due in next year.

That's good to know. Shame it's not included, but at least it gives people flexibility.
