I bought one of these at the beginning of the summer this year. It lasted two months before it stopped working. Aipers customer service was great, but I just ended up taking it back to Walmart because the 90 day return policy had not been reached. I ordered a new one at Walmart online, they did not have anymore at the store. The rep. From Aiper told me that the motor had failed. The unit does come with a 1 year warranty, but I would suggest buying the Walmart extended warranty first 23 dollars, that gives you a total of 4 years. It does work great, until it breaks.

I bought the Aiper seagull and it lasted two months and the motor went out this summer. Aiper customer service was very helpful, but I just took it back to Walmart, within the 90 days return policy and got my money back. They do not make the seagull anymore, so I ordered the SE and it works the same. The SE is easier to open and clean and actually the battery lasts longer. The unit comes with a one year warranty, but I would suggest buying the Walmart extended warranty for 23 dollars. That will give you a total of 4 years of warranty. The seagull has the charging light on the top of the unit, the SE has the charging light on the actual plug itself. Maybe that’s why the motor failed ?

I bought one and it works good on bugs and large particles but after it is done the next day the dirt is there just as bad as it was before I ran it when it settles. There is no real filter to catch dirt like your filter cartridge. I bought this to get the dirt and it does not. I can't be the only one to complain about it.

So it sucks in a good way? Lol thinking about getting one for my 14ft above grounder. We have the pool in a sandy area and it's almost impossible to keep the kids from getting sand and dirt in it. It's starting to really build up at the bottom. The sand is really my only problem. Do you recommend this for sand pickup?

HAHA - yeah ! I would say yes, mine works great. If you get from amazon if it's not working for you, you could always return. But i have a feeling you'll like it. for the price point and simplicity, it's pretty awesome. i'm pretty crazy about keeping my pool CLEAN.... this helps my ocd.... ha

I bought the Aiper Scuba SE and it’s charging right now. How do I know when it’s fully charged?

Indicates on the plug. Goes from red to green

@@FamilyDIYtv thank you but unfortunately I don’t get the %, was told by Aiper to always keep charged 60% over the winter.

The blue light on top shows full blue light instead of streaming up

The light is on the plug itself, not in the unit. It turns from red to green when it’s charged. It should take about 3 hours to charge.

I had the same unit , the 800b, and it lasted two months before it died. They quit making this unit and now make the SE. The motor failed in my unit and it would not cut on even though it was fully charged. That’s what Aiper customer service told me, they must have an issue with the seagull? I took mine back to Walmart within the 90 days return policy and got my money back and then bought the SE. I did buy the extended warranty with both units, it was 23 dollars and you get 4 total years. If it is still under the one year warranty, call Aiper, they will send you an SE as a replacement. That’s what they offered me, but it was easier just to take it back to the store and get my money back. I did have to order the SE at Walmart online, they did not have anymore at the store.

I feel that it doesn’t do a good job of getting clarified or flocculated algae that settles to the bottom. It seems that it spreads it through the jets and clouds the water up again.

And you're absolutely right. Got this robot and it just spreads small particles all over. The filter mesh is too large and if you add another layer of fine mesh media, the motor will eventually die. It won't suck anything smaller than sand grains
