Ive just bought a tdr, and the bolt action is smooth and very nice to use. Try using a left handed bolt and no gloves, and you will find its far easier to feel the rifle being cocked. Also you were having to pull the bolt back as you inserted the mag which does not need to be done if its cocked properly, which it should be before inserting the mag or else you will end up with 2 pellets up the barrel if your not careful.

There's something wrong with your mag, should be way more tension than that.

just got tdr and the infamous indexing spring problem is here from the 1st day. the magazine dont index every time so you have to watch the mag to make sure it indexes if it dont you get lots of blank shots. and there is no way to move the reel if the mag dont line up. there should be access to the selector wheel from the outside so you can feel the indexing spring in its slot. this is a big problem and a very common problem with the s410.

I got mine this week and I agree the bolt isn't smooth, a bit of a let down, my only other problem was the forgrip rail coming loose because one of the short screws had pulled out which is a bit shoddy. As for the case I like it, only thing I would change or add is a bit of space to keep my bipod attached as it doesn't fit. Apart from those I'm happy with it.

can you leave the magazine's in the butt pad holding place while the rifle is in the bag to stop them rattling about?

Great video as always. Don't forget you can store 2 x magazines in the cheek piece while the rifle is in its case to stop it rolling about and your magazine is way too loose, as srspower says it should have more tension than that. I have four of these magazines for my S510 and they are all tighter than yours by far. Top tip: to stop the last pellet falling out - push the head of the pellet past the o-ring and it will stay in place and not fall out.

there is a place to store magazines to stop them rattling around = clip them into the butt stock lol ... label on that way up so that it is right way up to read while carrying case by the handle

Um I keep looking at this.. will purchase in future no doubt.. The thing is, where I shoot involves travelling, and I have to take my rifles too my shoot cased up!. I have a HW100KT .22 and a Compatto .177 and the cases are pretty large (can just fit in my boot).. The TDR would be so much easyer to transport but does it have the performance of my other 2 rifles?. And how many usable shots do you get from a full charge?.

mate if the rifle is new you will get that with the bolt trust me ive had a few s410,s and s400,s a tin of pellets will sort it out and the cocking will be smooth as silk ;-)

I owned an S410 TDR for around 4 month and had to get rid of it, its more of a novelty rifle then anything else, I good days shooting would leave me with blisters on my fingers from cocking the bolt, it is major stiff and would not recommend it for any young children who like shooting with there dad etc, its just a complete hassle. For an extra £100 you could get yourself an awesome HW100S. Know these are fantastic air rifles, highly accurate and very easy to use.

if the bolt isn't pulled back enough to cock it right then it isn't far back enough to be out of the magazine, hence it won't put two pellets into the barrel .. i'm a lefty so had the bolt rigged for left handed and it done the trick ... just wish they would make an S510 TDR with side cocking mechanism .. that would be cool !

Here in California this gun would be considered an assault rifle! It has a pistol grip on a long gun. and a removable magazine. Not to mention you can add a silencer to the gun.

Jeff Horton I meant to say, when loading of your magazine. Maybe you should load it the way we load our revolvers, here in the states. leave the hole lined up on the last pellet but empty. You won't have to worry about losing the pellet or alignment.
