My 99 Mercury Grand Marquis has 307,257 miles on it and still runs pretty strong. I have had her 12 years and never knew there is a cabin filter! I dont use my air conditioning and would love to as I am in Arizona's triple digit temps however, my son replaced something years ago and decided to swap I think condensors from a Grand Marquis taxi cab to surprise me (even tho mine worked great, just blew at a slower than normal rate) but he never completed the hook up and I dont know what that would be...a recharge or something else🥴

2003 Camry Ac went out ended up being the fuse relay, swapped it with the horn cause same, and it worked again.

Recently had my AC on and there was a burning oil acid type smell, then had smoke billowing out from under the hood. What could this smoke/burning smell be?

A GMC Acadia without cabin air filter? That brings the memory of GM's death in 2010. (Today's GM is a new legal entity) Apparently cutting cost from a cabin filter did not save them. I have a Saturn Outlook and I am angry when I found this.

I replaced the evaporator on my old Tahoe once by cutting a hole in the air box behind the glove box and sliding it out. And then taping and sealing it back up after. There is no way I was going to disassemble the entire dash to get to that. Or pay a shop $1k+. Not for that cheap peace of junk vehicle.

Dude replacing the evap core is literally the most cringe job you can do but make good money on, taking apart nearly everything in the interiors front, Seats, wire harnesses, steering wheel, Dashboard, side trimings, air bags 1 or more modules like engineering jesus whyyyy lol
