I can’t get the red clip back on the fuel line. How did you get it on?
@turtle-ninja5 ай бұрын
Try to push the pipe a little bit more. The force needed for the red clip is insignificant

How often do you have to replace this? It's a lot more involved than my 1987 Honda lol
@turtle-ninja Жыл бұрын
It depends on the air quality. I do it every year. It is better to do it 2 times per year.

This is a great bike, I love mine. But it is a major pain to work on. Kawasaki engineers were definitely trying to push you to the dealer LOL.

Unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to make such video :( May be after an year or two. I will try to find a real mechanic to help with such videos.

Do we need to empty the tank b4 remove, bro?
@turtle-ninja2 жыл бұрын
Nah. I have no issues with tank full on 80%. It is just heavier. Just keep the tank at level, dont rotate it like 90 degrees and you will be fine

@@turtle-ninja i just worry that when we disconnect the fuel hose at the bottom tank. Why fuel is not coming out? Is there some kind of locking device or some how?
@turtle-ninja2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a device that stops the fuel. Put towel or napkins under the hose. Dont hold the hose "almost disconnected". If you feel fuel on your hands, just pull the hose, so the device can block the fuel. You will lose 10ml of fuel, which is nothing :)

@@turtle-ninja thanks, bro.

It's a whole lot safer and easier when you run the gas low enough for one flashing bar on the fuel gauge. A full tank rocks back and forth while you are in a compromising scenario.

The air filter is upside down! Throw it away and buy a real OEM. Those high flow filters may increase short term air intake but you risk letting trash inside and destroying your engine. It's not worth it.
@Jayvetron Жыл бұрын
It's installed correctly, the underside has a rim that sits in the airbox.

you put the air filter different than how it was fitted before you removed it
@turtle-ninja2 жыл бұрын
the new one is reusable K&N filter. It looks different than the paper ones (single use). If you plan to keep your bike for a few years - get a reusable, you will save $. OEM (single use) - 45$ HiFlo (single use) - 20$ k&n reusable - 60$ and wash&oil kit ~20, so total is 80$ you can do the math ;)

@@turtle-ninja I meant you put it upside down...

@@AlcatrazMeow Hmmm I just double checked tha instructions - www.knfilters.com/ka-4018-replacement-air-filter The "flat side" is the one that should be on the top. Also on the upper side, near the hole for the bolt, there is "extra" plastic, that is preventing you from installing the filter upside-down. Please let me know if I'm wrong. !@#$ me if I'm wrong :D

It's installed correctly, the underside has a rim that prevents upside-down installation.
