I just finished both interviews for HPSP, waiting to hear back. I have been a nurse for 4 years. I am in grad school for my doctorate in Nursing Practice Family Nurse Practitioner. This video really gave me a BETTER perspective on OTS. I was starting to feel comfortable in my life here in Florida as a nurse/student and professor and I started to doubt my HPSP application..... I'm so thankful for your hard work and your video edits. I know it takes hours and time and creativity! Congratulations! keep up the good work Airman.

OTS has changed a lot. An awful lot. A lot more people that is for sure. Class sizes look really huge. Good luck. Later on, if a full col. sits on a promotion board comes back to your base and gives a briefing, be there, sit in the front row and take notes.

This makes BMT look like Parris Island lol Your own room? Closets? You went BACK TO SLEEP? You have time to VLOG? You have a phone/camera to VLOG WITH? Oh yeah, I'm excited to turn in my package for OTS as soon as I can.

We had a lot of extras when I went to OTS. We got fed three times a day (I threw up every morning we all were under so much stress). We could not have food in the rooms so we could stay nice and thin. Our experience was totally different. Ours was a pure stress environment. Learning was kept to studying for the exams. The measurements were dead and we were happy. There was more rubber on the parking lot after the last parade than at a goodyear tire shop. We all hated that damned place.

@sincerelyceleste31355 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm going through MEPS now, but I'm hoping to make it to COT. I do not mean this as a criticism, but out of curiosity did you have issues with your push ups not counting? I'm concerned that my push ups are not low enough to count during testing but you and I seem to reach the same depth which isn't exactly a 90 degree bend in the elbow.
@DoctorishDiamond5 жыл бұрын
Sincerely, Celeste Good question! So because of their “leniency” in only requiring us to go to a 90 degree angle, I didn’t have any trouble with my push ups not counting on the actual PT test. I actually almost maxed out my push ups!😂 However, in this video, I think we all can agree that I need to go a tad bit lower for them to officially count. Knock out a couple of push-ups every day, and it won’t be an issue for you!
