The nubuck is “dead” until you hit it with a suede brush in one direction to wake up the pattern in the material. Got my mochas sitting here and the nubuck/suede material is identical in performance while only slightly off in color.

These shoes are dope! Definitely in line with that Jordan 3 desert elephant. It’ll go nice in the fall/early winter season. Ps shoutout to the kb8 Adidas post the other day. I got the UNC toes on SNKRS and FEDEX driver stole the shoes :(. Never arrived even though they were confirmed shipped. Dude can you shed more light on the issue of drivers stealing shoes to resell as a side hustle. It’s hard enough get pairs to wear at launch but now even if we win we get robbed by FEDEX with no recourse.

Clean. As a Mocha owner, doing my best to avoid copping because we all know which colorway is superior - I truly think only those who choose Palomino have both and easily copped for retail, or whiffed on Mocha and can't justify resale, so need to verbally commit to these and express their preference in as many public forums as possible for the sole purpose of validating their choice and receiving like-minded positive affirmations ...when we all know that outside the inflated market that the Mocha dropped in, as well as the cringey over-exposed and temporarily diluted image given from TikTokers, that it is a better and more wearable shoe in all respects. That said, I want to avoid these, but it's hard given that nothing J1 sells out anymore, especially here in Canada - for GRs, that is. Sadly, for clout chasers, they'll ultimately rely on public perception and the combination of a sell-out/inordinate resale prices to determine what sihoe is nice versus what deserves to be skipped. Nothing to do with how it looks on, what fits they can make...to all other sneaker heads, hi...and, yeah,....someone convince me to leave these alone, because while they may not sell for $500, $230 is not cheap...and, I don't need them, right?! Somebody, please. Unfortunately, the common gripe is what I actually dig about these and that's the gold lettering on the tongue tab. IT's different, adds a bit of character and actually makes the overall vibe a bit more premium imo...gotta see in hand, because the leather looks decent and I'm digging the suede...curious if it gives the same lush, booty back stroke vibes as the Mochas,.,.few more days and I'll check em in person at the mall..just signed up for FL raffle and knowing my luck, I hit on pairs I am hesitant on splurging on and need as many signs to keep my money and refrain from adding another unneeded pair to the J1 collection (I've been good...other than L&Fs and a golf pair, I believe washed blacks are the only pair copped in the last year...) and those I wanted because I like them...and always did...and wasn't deterred by a soft sell and them sitting so walking in on launch day and taking them home and going straight to foot that night was another day at the office...see how that works, folks...wear what you like...damn, I wrote a small dissertation here thinking that the more I rambled, the less I will want this damn shoe.....don't do it....for those bored and lonely enough to have made it here without a TLDR, I salute you....commend you and hope life turns around for the better...and, I will report back on these soon...may actually copy and paste into a few other popular review videos to spread the good (or bad) word...great content btw, sorry for spamming with text overload but direct your complaints to the KZbin team member responsible for character requirements on video comment sections.
