A quick look at the AIR MOOUSE and HOW EASY IT IS TO INSTALL to your Android TV Box, Mini PC, Smart TV, Projector and All-in-One PC TV.
Unfortunately, after using this control over a couple of days I have discovered that this control will not turn on the android box, you have to do this manually and then it will pair with the box each time you switch it on via the power supply. I did ask the seller if there was anyway to turn on the android box with this control and they replied that it could not do this. If I did want a control to turn it on then there are different wireless keypads that will do this. A bit late now though.

This remote has infrared learning capabilities, that's why it has the 5 (4 coloured keys along the bottom & 1 red on/off key top left) function keys. You just have to programme it. I have to on/off key set to turn on/off my TV, & the 4 along the bottom to turn on/off MQX box, sound bar & last 2 vol +/-. Works like a charm. After you get them setup you have to press the TV key to disable mouse functions & enable function keys & press it again to switch back to mouse. Only issue I have is the ALT keys on the keyboard are in blue & very hard to read unless your room is well lit.

This video was a life saver, got this air mouse and the instructions were just so badly translated into English it just said "press TV and OK button together to pair" thank god you said to turn on your android box at the same time as the "OK" button otherwise I would have wasted my money.

I also was trying to pair with "TV red button and OK button" together and when I saw your comment I was hoping that turning on my android box at the same time as the "OK" button will start seeing the "mouse" on my screen but no luck at all. It seems that only the IR learning buttons are working, I can't get the RF dongle to work. Any suggestions?

You can use it to control your android box to turn off and on etc. 1st align your new remote and the remote your android box comes with. Hold down the TV button on the new remote. The new remote IR light will flash fast then slow down. whilst its flashing slow press the on button on the the old remote. The new remote will then flash to say its recognised. Press the on button on the new remote then press TV and its done. Worked for me.

Raymond Burrell hi Raymond. I can't seem to get my remote to turn on the box. when I long press the TV button and wait for the slow lights, I turn on the box using the original remote but the new remote remains slow flashing. it doesn't turn on the box after this

Eckaez You have to go into another room to do this or it'll just turn the box on. But it 100% works.

doesn't work for me. I press and hold tv, red light flashes fast, let go of tv button, red light stays on then flashes slow. I hold down the power button of the old remote and the red light then flashes slightly faster. I then press then button I want to program on the remote, and then press tv again, and then red light just keeps flashing. Any ideas?

Frango Fett You have to go into another room for this to work. It 100% works because I've used loads of these remotes.

Bought one of these ages ago, as the eBay seller assured me it would work with Samsung smart TV. It didn't, and it actually says it may not in the instructions, but I couldn't read the instructions until after purchase! Slung it in a drawer until today. We've just bought a Hisense VIDAA 4K smart TV and surprise surprise, it won't work with that either. Waste of money.

This air mouse will turn your box on and off. Just press it twice to turn on. I have this air mouse and its great! Just imaging the Wii controller, its the same thing.

I bought one of these, its bad is that it has no touch pad, then it does not work in some apps that have to go down in more options, like movie apps etc ...

this control ccan switch ON your android TV BOX, to do it, you must "learn" the ON function from the original control of the android TV BOX and set it for example to the second red key, works perfect.... consult the manual to learn function.

Thanks for the video, I just bought an air mouse just like yours, but I have a problem, it only works for the first 20 seconds, after it goes to hibernation, it stops working, I have to take the batteries out to get it working again, and the cycle repeats, do I have a defective unit? Do you find that the 'back' key doesn't work properly? It just makes the mouse pointer come back on. Also the mouse comes on at random times - for instance when i press the volume buttons. That makes it a real nuisance. If it wasn't for that though this would be great! I'm using it with the Nvidia Shield TV. Do you find you have these issues too? Or does it work properly on the M8? With an Android TV box you really need a 'back' key to work, to navigate out of apps and playing videos etc. It just doesn't work for me on the Nvidia Shield - so that makes it totally unusable in practical terms. :(

Hi Brendan, the mouse pointer comes back on with the press of most buttons which is a bit annoying. Also, I just tried the back key and it does work properly with the M8 which is a plus.

just bought this same remote for my laptop. It paired up ok at first but the pointer was always drifting into the bottom left corner.and completly unusable. I tried fixing it and now all that works is the keypad, nothing on the front. the red light just comes on.

I have two similar air mice like this, one with voice, one without, from two different vendors sources. Both are connected to the same Android generic tv box. Both initially had the drifting problem. After some experimenting, found that if you repeat the pairing procedure with the mouse flat on a table and stationary it ALWAYS fixes the drifting cursor issue. In that condition the motion and orientation sensors are all neutral and stationary.

I have paired the air mouse with my m8 android box and the remote turns off the box, but then you can't turn it back on with the remote, you have to go back through re-pairing again. Any suggestions on how to make the pairing permanent?

+Adam Kendell I discovered this very same thing and it is quite annoying. What I do is pull out then push back in the power supply and the box will come on. The remote will then pair. automatically.

Adam Kendell I totally agree Adam. The instructions I received with this remote were brief to say the least. The only other option I see is to leave it switched on. What I will do is ask the question from the company I bought it from and get back to you.

As suspected Adam, the seller has confirmed that the only way to turn the android box on is via the mains switch. They also said that you can buy wireless keypads that will turn the box on. Not much good now though. I think I will put a caption on my video so that people know this.

Hi Joy, I have heard in other forums that it only operates the volume controls and it really depends on the model of device you are pairing it with. It may be worth contacting the supplier to ask for some specific advice.

+JOY RAYNER: I think you can also teach it infrared commands from your other remote. It would also work on your computer if you want to use it as a HTPC. So if you can't get your money back, you can at least use it for that. Also, "air moose" made me laugh every time I heard it. :)

Thanks for the feedback Blood Angel, hopefully it will help others. Also, "air Moose" In the area where I'm from in Scotland it would be locally pronounced "moose" so my wife had the idea to do it this way to see what response it would generate. We did have a bit of giggle when we were recording it but we didn't expect it to take as long for someone to comment. There was a wine gum advert on TV in Scotland not that long ago which contained the line "there's a moose, loose, aboot this hoose". :)

***** I think I remember seeing something like the loose hoose moose on one of the TV ads from around the world shows once. I can't remember what the actual ad for was for though. I bought one of these remotes from eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet, so I was checking out some videos to see exactly what they do. I was hoping I could use the keyboard on the back, turn my TV off and adjust the volume, and if I'm really lucky, put the HTPC to sleep/wake it up with a button press. I have a sleep button on my USB keyboard, so there is definitely a command that does it. Worst case scenario, I "air moose" it to sleep, and then use the wake on USB function to wake it up.

MrAndfio Factory reset is as followed: hold down the "TV" button and the "DEL" for three seconds. The red led light will blink repeatedly, when it stops the process will be completed.

I can, but it's a PITA. First, your received must recognise that you have a Mic. In android, if you see a Mic symbol in a dialog box, it does. Second, you need to click the cursor in a dialog box and enable the Google app to be always listening. Third, the Mic button is push and HOLD (PTT) to talk.. When done speaking, Google app commands will execute, but dialog boxes need to be told you're done with the cursor. (Google needs to add a "commit" control word to the Android keyboard dll for this to be eliminated). This is iffy because the keyboard doesn't always popup after releasing the PTT Mic button. Fourth, your keyboard app and Google app must be trained to reliably interpret your voice. Lastly, the interface to the app you are using must be able to accept voice input. KODI'S BUILD IN MICRO-SIZED KEYBOARD DOESN'T!! I find the Mic only useful for Google commands and dictation.
