That air raid siren brought back memories of my school days in London during the war; when one went off we would make a dash for the nearest shelter - still, we survived! As the old song says "Thanks for the memory "

Great catches! Siren is more likely an alert for the local volunteer fire dept. judging by the vehicle sirens heard in the distance shortly after at the 17:00 mark. I'm a retired vol firefighter now but for 29 years that sound kicked me into a mild adrenaline overdrive.

That's actually a fire siren for fire departments. Hearing one go off for dispatch is rare these days, since they normally use pagers and radios. But since you're in New York, most fire departments are old school and use bells, diaphones, and sirens for calls.

At Hobby Lobby, we get our trailers to unload and restock the store every Friday. Each one comes from the distribution center in Oklahoma. Sometimes trailers are sometimes blocked by harsh weather or snow storms, and won't get to the store on time, so they'll throw them on trains last second.
